The best month in costa rica

What a great month in costa rica. it was a great experience to disconnect from the hustle and bustle and form a solid routine. sam was the best facilitator ever. she really took the time and energy to ensure everything operated smoothly and that we had a great time. also loved working out with sam, she was such a motivator when it came to being fit and active, even went as far to start a walking challenge. the group was small but mighty and everyone got on really well! excited to do another trip next year ! also honorable shoutout to hp as a whole, really appreciate you guys.

Thank you for the kind words, dee! we love having you as part of the hacker paradise community :)

Incredible community to work and travel with.

This was my first hp trip, and it was an incredible experience. the location (playa grande in guanacaste, costa rica) had some great chill beach vibes; accommodations were accurate to their description, and the group i traveled with was incredibly fun, incredibly diverse people. and the community facilitator (sam) was very attentive.my concern going into this was that the group would be made up of a bunch of people who wanted to party all day, but that was not the case. during the workday everyone was very much focused on work but on the weekends we had lots of group adventuresan intangible benefit of traveling with hp vs solo: a support network for when something unexpected happens. during the trip, someone's laptop charge broke... and within 15 minutes of posting it on slack, they had two people offer an extra charge for the rest of the trip, a recommendation on where to buy a new one in costa rica, and an offer to get a ride to the store.this was my first hp trip, but won't be my last.

Thank you, maurice!! very glad you got a great first experience, see you somewhere else in the world :)

Great community to work & travel with

I have been on 3 trips with Hacker Paradise - Madeira of Portugal, Kilifi of Kenya, and San Pedro of Belize. I found them well-organized and well-balanced compared to other options. All the facilitators were fun while being professional and helpful. They prioritize things remote workers need to be productive. They were also proactive in researching and making our weekend adventures happen. The weekday programs were a great way for members to have the opportunity to connect daily. I have made friends with whom I will stay in touch!

I've been on five trips with Hacker's…

I've been on five trips with Hacker's Paradise and plan to do more in the future. My most recent adventures were with Misa and Sari who are awesome. All of the facilitators have been fun, helpful and friendly. When I'm on trip, I'm super productive with work, and the trips are long enough to really get to explore, adventure, and get a feel for the local culture. Hacker's Paradise is a high energy way to see the world with a community of fellow travelers and remote workers. I find myself doing and seeing more than I would with solo travel. I highly recommend the experience! Reach him via +1 747-256-7772

Antigua Guatemala with Hacker Paradise

My month in Antigua Guatemala with Hacker Paradise was wonderful. HP had everything arranged including our beautiful accommodations and fun activities for the group like potlucks and evening outings. The facilitators were a huge support system; as Spanish speakers, experienced travelers, and just all around great humans. I will definitely travel again with Hacker Paradise because of the community, support, and sustainable lifestyle as a digital nomad.

An exiting adventure with great people

I had an incredible experience on my trip to San Juan Del Sur with Hacker Paradise. The advisors were so organized, allowing our entire group to feel safe + comfortable throughout the whole trip. As a remote worker, one of the downfalls is that it can get lonely at times. On a HP trip, the team does a great job of organizing group activities every night that you can opt-in or opt-out of. This allows you to built true & deep connections with other individuals from across the world. Highly recommend, and will definitely be taking another trip.

HP Trip - San Juan Del Sur Feb 2024

Facilitators did a great job onboarding and preparing us for our trip. Housing was amazing very spacious with perfect view. Lot of fun activities planned! Makes trip really easy with itineraries planned days ahead. Group was great lot of fun interesting people on trip. Would definitely do again. Worth it to have everything set up for you and the knowledge the facilitators have

4.5 stars for our time in Marrakech

I wish I could give 4.5 stars. My girlfriend and I did the January chapter to Marrakech in Morocco and really enjoyed ourselves. The community of people was definitely the highlight, everyone was super friendly, welcoming, and we had a blast experiencing a new country together. The communal events and outings were always a good time. With the group, we explored the desert, local markets, and discovered so much of what this awesome country has to offer. The co-working space was great for our needs, clean, quiet, and had great coffee & snacks. It was only a 5-minute walk from our apartment which was very convenient. Our apartment was comfortable, spacious and had all the basics minus a few odd things like dish towels but the facilitators handled that. The only downside of the accommodation which was outside of the facilitator's control was the apartment manager turned out to be extremely rude and caused problems for a few people right at the end. We've been assured the company won't use that accommodation again but I wish the closeout of the trip had been handled a little more smoothly. The facilitators on trip were great, super nice people who did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Overall, I would definitely recommend Hacker Paradise to a friend or anyone curious about living abroad or trying out a nomadic lifestyle. It's a great way to get an introduction to a country with a built-in safety and group of like-minded people to explore with. It's nice to have everything set up for you and an instant community in a new place!

Can’t wait for the next trip!!

This was my first HP experience and it exceed my expectations! Phuket was awesome - the accommodation was really high quality and the activities were so much fun. The other people were incredible and there was instantly a sense of community. The group connected straight away and I immediately felt at home there. There was always something happening, whether it was a meal, brunch, exploring a new place, or just chilling in the pool. At the same time, there was never any pressure for when you needed some downtime. The HP programme definitely really added to the experience as well - from group lunches and nights out to skill shares run by fellow nomads. The breadth of cool things the other people were doing was awesome - from software developers working remotely to freelancers, professional fencing athletes, individuals that had directed their own films and everything in between. This meant I came away with new perspectives and learned so much from the other travellers on the trip. Our facilitator, Sary, was amazing. She went above and beyond to ensure that everyone felt included as well as helping to resolve any issues and her endless energy and enthusiasm made the trip even better. Will definitely be booking another trip soon - only wished that I didn’t have to return home to a cold UK December, having spent a month with an infinity pool!

Blossoming in the sun

The people really made it great. I felt so connected so quickly. Ah to luxuriate by an infinity pool talking nonsense with people really making a nomad life work. There were many opportunities to share who I was, both personally and professionally, and talk about what kind of life I wanted to create for myself as an aspiring performer. I came away with new perspectives, inspiration, growth and renewed self-confidence.

HP trip to Phuket

I traveled to Phuket with HP, it was my first HP trip and it surpassed all my expectations!
The group was definitely the highlight of this trip for me, from day one everyone was incredibly friendly, and we instantly connected. I couldn't think of better people to go on this trip with me 😊
Our facilitator, Sary, was great! Her support and enthusiasm made this trip unforgettable. I'm definitely looking forward to joining another HP trip with her as our facilitator.I can’t recommend HP enough and I can’t wait for my next trip with them! ❤️

I went with HP into a trip in Phuket

I went with HP into a trip in Phuket, Thailand and I really loved the experience. Most of the group was extremely friendly and the accommodation was amazing (with great infinity pool). The only inconvenients were that the co-working place was a bit crowded with not enough meeting rooms.

My first trip with HP and it was .... amazing!

Joined HP in Normandy in late October and had a blast. Remote working from a chateau in the French countryside was so magical, even despite the gloomy weather. Sary, our wonderful facilitator, really energized the group for our weekly lunches, engaging skillshares, fun weekend trips and social activities. My fellow travelers were a fascinating and diverse group I enjoyed sharing the adventure with tremendously. I felt lucky to have become a part of such a special community during my time with all of them. Needless to say I am already making plans to join more HP trips in 2024 and can't wait!

Fun trip, not sure value add was worth cost outside of the community

The trip I had to Buenos Aires was amazing. Great city, lots to do, perfect location, even better group of people, but I’m not sure the community itself (the main pro of hacker) was work nearly 3000$. To explain, I didn’t really use any other features. The coworking didn’t have a lot of private space that was functional (too hot, booked, too small, etc) so most of the time I worked from our apartment. I didn’t get my moneys worth there but if you didn’t have meetings it would have been fine. Second. The apartment wasn’t very clean. It needed a through dusting, mopping, etc upon arrival and never felt that clean w our weekly cleanings. It was in a great neighborhood though. Third, facilitators and logistics. Other than the housing planning, didn’t feel like there was too much value add here. We did have a couple of cool events lined up (la bomba and some theater performance) that I liked. However there are better asado than the one we did and we had a less than stellar soccer game exp due to overselling that wasn’t the hosts fault. Those I talked to felt we could have been much better set up with money expectations. It was covered that you can send yourself money on WU and exchanges however a major point missed that I learned in a week is for BA bring as MUCH USD as you think you’ll spend. You’ll never get as close to the rate from WU but this was something we has to learn on our own even though the hosts have been there before. Also for the price we should also be picked up and taken to the airport, know our group events weekly ahead of the trip for our own planning, etc. If should have also been shared that BA is a VERY reserverion based city and if you went into the best restaurants , to see the opera, etc, you need to make reservations 1-2 months ahead. It felt very lower intern level logistics for a group of professionals who are working hard jobs and like to be on top of things. Lastly big group dinners didn’t happen as much due to Splitwise. The app is a pain in the butt to use and requires double entry on slack and the app. Most people preferred to just dine on small groups and pay cash to avoid the headache. Overall the community is amazing. I love the people I met. Would try another company to compare as prices have gone up since this trip. If it was cheaper, would do again. Wouldn’t recommend program only, because being in the same space is worth it, however if you’re just using the housing, it’s pricy.

Can't wait to go on another!

I recently went on the France trip with HP. We stayed in a beautiful château in Normandy. This was my first trip to Europe and I was a little concerned about traveling to another country with a group of folks I'd never met before. Immediately I got a warm welcome from Sary, our wonderful community facilitator who made us all feel at home. As the month went on and I got to know the folks on the trip it was clear that HP has really built a community around remote work and curates great experiences for us all to get to know each other - from crêpe mornings on Sunday to the weekly shared lunches. I'm so happy I went on this magical trip and I can't wait to go on more!

First HP trip

This was my first Hacker Paradise trip and it was a wonderful experience. I joined the Tokyo trip and I had a really great group which made the trip even better. There were activities planned every day so you always had the chance to meet up with people and explore something new.A big shoutout to our facilitators Juan and Sary. They did an amazing job organizing fun activities and meals which is a hard thing to do with a large group in Japan. I'd recommend Hacker Paradise to anyone thinking of trying out the digital nomad life or for those who are already living the lifestyle.

Really fun first HP trip to Tokyo

I went on my first HP trip to Tokyo, and it far exceeded my expectations! We had a great group that balanced work with fun (a lot of it!). There was something happening every day, and people had such enthusiasm and excitement for doing things together. Also our facilitators, Juan and Sara, did a great job coordinating weekly activities (no small feat with a big group) and weekend trips. I'd highly recommend HP if you're looking to meet new people and explore a place together while working remotely.

Third amazing HP trip - Tokyo edition

Third trip with Hacker Paradise set in Tokyo with high expectations. I'm pleased to say, not only were they met, but exceeded to great extend. Our facilitators, Juan and Sary, were fantastic. Their enthusiastic and thoughtful approach to arranging activities kept us engaged and on our toes. The bonding within the group was exceptional, thanks in no small part to their efforts to foster a genuine sense of unity among us.Juan and Sary proved themselves adept at creating a group dynamic that was both friendly and immersive, making us feel more like a group of eager explorers than just tourists.Tokyo, in all its vibrancy and cultural richness, was beyond what I had ever expected. From traditional sights to exceptional food, we sampled a taste of everything. The balance between structured activities and personal time was perfectly struck. In short, my third journey with Hacker Paradise was nothing short of outstanding. The sense of fun, adventure, and learning they've consistently delivered has me already looking forward to trip number four (later this year). See you next time HP!

Fantastic experience! (many more to follow...)

My trip to Thailand with Hacker Paradise was an experience that exceeded all my expectations. ALL of them. I could rave about this all day! As a digital nomad, I had been searching for ways that would allow me to explore new destinations while connecting with like-minded individuals. From the moment I had my intro call, I knew I was in good hands. The two facilitators, Juan and Sary, are absolute rockstars! They were always there to offer recommendations, answer questions, and ensure that everyone felt safe and well taken care of. Their passion for travel and community were evident in every interaction. Their support made the trip feel effortless and allowed us to focus on our work and enjoyment. However, what truly set Hacker Paradise apart was the sense of community. From the very beginning, I felt a strong bond with my fellow travelers. I was blown away by how quickly you can feel close to people who were strangers a mere week ago. We were a diverse group of talented individuals from various backgrounds, all with a shared passion for remote work and travel. The friendships I made during my time with Hacker Paradise are invaluable, and I am so so grateful for the lasting connections I formed. I will certainly be back! If you are reading this and considering HP right now, I say: RUN, don't walk to book your first trip with HP! Literally do not wait !!

My go-to community for digital nomad trips!

It was the first time for me to travel on a digital nomad setting, and overall, it was an amazing experience! The facilitators (Juan & Sara) were absolutely great, being energetic and enthusiastic. They scheduled many fun activities and I got to learn many things about Thailand and the culture. The whole group was amazing and everyone, from the first day, made me feel at home! For me it was an experiment to see whether a remote work travel setting would work for me, and I can tell that it was a huge success. I'm looking forward to join them on another trip!

Hacker Paradise provide a superb experience for novice and veteran digital nomads alike. They strike the right balance between creating an integrated community and giving participants freedom to make the experience their own. I have completed 7 trips with them spanning Asia, Europe, Africa and Latin America and have been more than satisfied each time. Strongly recommended, wherever you are in your nomad journey.

A unique and incredible experience

I went to Valencia with HP in March 2023. As a very seasoned solo traveler, I decided to switch things up a bit and try the group travel experience. Surprisingly, pretty much every aspect of the trip well-exceeded expectations:Housing - The accommodations were modern, spacious, and very well situated.Participants - I was fearful that I would end up with a bunch of recent college grads looking to party, but fortunately the group consisted of mature professionals with interesting backgrounds and a curiosity about Valencia and Spanish culture.Events - I’m not sure I’ve ever been so active in my life. Ping pong, futbol, padel, potlucks, board games (!), meals in / out, side adventures … there was always something fun or different to do … or the ability to do nothing at all if I wanted to explore alone.Facilitators - Sary and Juan were exceptional. Besides being genuinely good people, they were always available and enthusiastic to help. It felt like they were friends hanging out rather facilitators doing their job. There is so much more I could say but … the best endorsement I can give is that I’ll be going on another trip soon. I’ve even decided to rearrange my entire travel plan for the end of the year so I could go join HP!

Highly Recommend

I joined HP for 3 trips for 3 months total and it was a fantastic experience! Two months in Medellin Colombia and one month in Valencia Spain. As a woman traveling alone for some of this time, I felt happy to have a group of friends that I could be comfortable and safe with while exploring a new country. The hosts Sara, Isa, and Juan were all warm and helpful, especially since my Spanish was ok, they made it easier to have a good time.I enjoyed the planned activities and didn't have any problems staying busy and engaged with the group. When comparing similar companies, I didn't realize, at first, that I should ask for "program only" to get a possibility of a price without housing included so if that is something you are interested - ask about it.

Best Month Ever with Hacker Paradise

Oh my gosh, where do I even start? I spent the most amazing month of my life, thanks to Hacker Paradise! Working and traveling at the same time has always been a dream of mine, and these guys made it a reality. From day one, I felt like I was part of a big, awesome family. The Hacker Paradise team was super friendly and helpful (Ciao a Sara!), and they made sure we had everything we needed to work and have fun. They were always up for a chat or to give advice on where to go and what to do.The place we stayed in was super cozy, and the workspace was just perfect for getting stuff done. But what really made this experience special was the amazing people I met. We all clicked right away, and it was so cool to share this adventure with like-minded folks. And let me tell you about the Amazon forest trip in Lima – WOW! It was hands down one of the most incredible experiences of my life. And also I cannot forget the party bus in Colombia streets :=)Honestly, I can't recommend Hacker Paradise enough! If you're looking for a way to work while traveling and make some unforgettable memories, these are the guys to go with. I'm so grateful for the amazing experience they gave me in Peru and also in Colombia, and I can't wait to join them again on another adventure!Thank you, Hacker Paradise, for the best month ever! Hacker Paradise is just the one.

Hacker Paradise is just the one. Stop looking. No, really. Stop.I had been travelling on my own for a while, sorting out my own accommodation, coworking, excursions and experiences. I had enjoyed the freedom and the opportunity to meet so many different people along the way that joining an organised program wasn't an option. But then I did. Trial run in Medellín, just 2 weeks. Should have gone for the whole month. Rookie mistake. Now I find myself with an open tab on their website, scrolling down the upcoming trips section.People were electrifying. Like-minded travellers with a twist for adventure. Some of these friendships will last a lifetime - bonding experiences will take care of this. Paragliding, salsa on rooftops, BJJ trainings or surfing waves in a speedboat. Name it and genies will provide.Oh, the genies. Facilitators they call them, but don't be fooled. They're really just genies. Out of the bottle already - no rubbing needed.Isabelle and Sara were exceptional. So diligent and easy going. Ready to tackle any challenges with a smile. The true treasure of HP. Did I mention the chiva rumbera? Google it.

Not too shabby

Just got back from traveling with Hacker Paradise and it was a total blast! This community-based travel program is all about unique experiences and connecting with a diverse group of remote workers. The destinations were off the beaten path and one-of-a-kind.But the real MVPs were Juan, the Journey Jedi, and Sam, the young padawan, our travel facilitators. These two were a match made in heaven and made the trip unforgettable. Juan was a pro at keeping the fun going and making sure everything ran smoothly. Sam brought the energy and kept us all pumped up.Together, Juan and Sam made sure we had unique experiences and non-stop fun. If you're looking for a well-rounded and great travel experience, I can't recommend Hacker Paradise enough. And if you're lucky enough to have Juan and Sam as your travel guides, get ready for a wild ride! All in all, my trip with Hacker Paradise was a journey to remember and I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat.

Transformational experience // Cape Town 2022

This was our first HP trip: Cape Town in 2022 for one month, facilitated by Sara and Juan, who were stars in creating a safe and fun environment throughout the whole experience. Sara organized an amazing townhouse for us; very spacious, always clean, and conveniently located. Our co-working space was around the corner at the heart of Green Point, a beautiful and safe neighborhood where we enjoyed the world's best Yoga classes at Yoga Life (alert for all yogis: go there - it is amazing!!). When it comes to activities, HP offers a wide range of it fitting for introverts and extroverts, ranging from deep, meaningful conversations, cool house parties, and night-outs to insightful skill-shares. Juan also did a stellar job arranging the best weekend adventures and the most mesmerizing hikes. We loved being productive at work and, at the same time, having once-in-a-lifetime experiences. And above all, because of HP, we not only got to know new places but also connected with diverse and incredible personalities. The trip inspired us to book already the next adventures with HP. We highly recommend taking the step to book your trip with them too. Amelia & Roxy

Hackers Paradise Cape Town 2022

Traveling with Hacker Paradise to Cape Town was an off-the-chart experience. The accommodation provided by them was top-notch so was the coworking space which was only two blocks away (none of the other's accommodations was further away than a few blocks). Coordinators Juan and Sara were extremely helpful and full of positive energy and initiative to improve everybody's experience and attend to any particular need. There is a lot going on, everybody is organizing amazing activities and nobody feels pressure to jump in, completely up to each individual. HP also has activities in place to help people get to know each other which is very useful to break the ice, especially at the beginning.I would highly recommend HP and congratulate and extend my deep appreciation to Juan and Sara.

HP exceeded every expectation

I joined the Canggu trip in September 22 and Hacker Paradise exceeded every expectation. I wanted to explore what being a true digital nomad means, but didn't want to do it completely on my own, so I decided to go with HP. I never made a better decision! They handle everything for you: accommodation, co-working space, SIM card, daily events, adventures, etc. so you can just focus on what matters: work, having fun, making friends and exploring a new country. The best part for me was having a group of like-minded people ready to share from Day 1 and for an entire month this amazing experience with you, they will quickly become your best friends. If you go travelling solo it will take you months to make the same connections you make in just a few days with HP. The facilitators Sara and Dee were absolutely amazing, truly beautiful people that went above and beyond to ensure that everyone in the trip was always having the best time. There are no words to describe how great they are! A truly life changing experience for me and I'll definitely join again soon.

A life changing experience with the best people.

I'd wanted to try taking my remote job on the road for a while but didn't know where to start. Hacker Paradise handled the accommodation, coworking, phone SIM's, adventures, everything. The trip was the perfect balance between being able to work my full-time remote job and experiencing another country whilst also making new friends along the way. The facilitators Sara and Dee were absolutely faultless and ensured that every person on the trip was having their needs catered for and having an awesome time.By far one of the best things the trip provides is an excellent base of friends from day one. It just makes it much more palatable to tackle a new country when you're surrounded by an incredible and diverse group of people who are supporting you.I'll be back.

Great way to make friends and have fun while working

This trip in Bali in September 2022 was my 2nd trip with Hacker Paradise and certainly not the last! It's a great way to make friends. The facilitators are awesome and go out of their way to make your trip a memorable and fun experience.

No doubt there will always be more…

No doubt there will always be more places to explore, more people to meet, more stories to share but .. you will never forget your first. I kept saying over and over again how glad I am I took this trip. And how an impulsive google search led me to one of the best experiences I had in my life so far.Alone but not really. It’s no quick fix, but it changes you.I may not see them again or I may, who knows - life is strange and full of surprises. All those late night conversations, all the banter and sharing sunsets together for three weeks (some four weeks), appreciating the camaraderie and nuances of each “stranger” who later on you consider as a friend. If you are stuck somewhere or you feel your happy feet is calling you somewhere - do it! Go for it!Thank you. @hackerparadise HP Canggu 2022 for the love and friendship 💚 xx:The nomad life is a dream worth pursuing especially if you have not started a family or have raised children who no longer needs you. If you are raising a family it can be a little tricky. #hackerparadise #canggu #indonesia #travelsolowithmejer

My first but not my last trip with HP!

This was my first trip with HP and it certainly won’t be my last! The trip in Palermo was very well organised from start to finish and the facilitators, Juan and Sara were amazing! Not only did the trip give me an insight into the digital nomad lifestyle, but it helped connect me with likeminded people, share adventures and build some life long friendships! I will definitely be recommending HP to my friends and cannot wait for my next trip with them in Cape Town! Thank you HP team :)

A great way to travel and make new connections!

This program is great if you are a solo traveler or looking to get into the digital nomad lifestyle. You are connected with a group of people from all over the world and are able to explore new places without worrying about logistics or planning in areas you aren’t familiar with. For anyone looking to connect with other travelers, explore the world for a month while working, or try out a new way of life with a new group of kind, passionate, and exciting individuals, this is the way to go!

Trip to Lima

Wow! This is just one word to describe how amazed I was with this trip. As a professional that works remotely and wants to travel more but has a balance between home and traveling, this program was a perfect fit for me. I traveled for two weeks with HP, and I enjoyed everything, the facilitators went beyond to make sure everything was working, and we were having the time of our lives. I’m so thankful for the connections I made and the beautiful places I saw. Thanks, Sara and Dee!

Great first trip!

The HP Lima trip was my first tentative step into a digital nomad lifestyle and this was a great start. The trip was well organized, the people were mature and fun, accommodations were good and centrally located and the coworking space easily accessible and functional. A special shout-out to the facilitators, Dee and Sara, they were awesome. You knew Dee was doing a great job because we didn’t have to deal with any logistics issues. Sara ensured we were always engaged and had fun activities and events planned or had great suggestions for days when we wanted to do our own thing. Both were very connected to the group, highly responsive and friendly and made the experience so much better. I would love to travel with them again. Overall the trip was a very positive experience and I would highly recommend it.

Meet a Bunch of Life-long Friends

I spent two years nomading before I found HP in 2018. Been on three trips. It’s a great way to get work done, meet cool people, and have a community as you travel. Can’t beat the value for the price!

Hacker Paradise is King for Digital Nomads

Hacker Paradise knows exactly how to strike the right balance between work and play for digital nomads looking for a tight-knit community to travel and experience the world with. I’ve participated in 3 trips, two in Bali and one in Madeira, Portugal. The experiences and adventures I had on these trips are something I always fondly look back on, but even better is still being in touch with so many of my HP alums!

Perfect to start as a digital nomad

Perfect to start as a digital nomad, I really recommend Hacker Paradise. They will find you accommodations in the best neighborhoods and also a nice coworking place. The community is really nice, people are very friendly and open-minded, including the facilitators who make all events and activities run smoothly. It's a little more expensive than doing a trip by yourself, however, you will have this amazing community with you, a lot of events/activities, and good places, which make your life way easier so you can focus on work and have fun.

Highly recommended!

I've done 4 HP trips and can't wait for my fifth! They consistently put together a good group of people with a nice balance of programming. I always felt that I had plenty to do, while also having the time and freedom to work remotely and explore independently. I was a digital nomad for three years before trying my first HP trip, and it offers real value even for those who are experienced and comfortable with traveling on their own. Huge hats off to Juan the facilitator, he can handle any crisis and makes every trip a blast to be on.

Life changing experience

Where do I start? This was my first hackers trip and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. I did 4 weeks in Athens and it was the perfect amount of time to explore the beautiful city and the Greek islands as well. The program is thoughtfully laid out so you always have something to do but there are also many periods of rest for solo exploration. My suggestion is to integrate more locals into the program (perhaps they could do a DMC or a workshop) but other than that it’s truly a life changing experience. PS it’s also what you make it, so if you immerse yourself, you will get what you want out of it. One thing that made this experience exceptional was our facilitator, Juan Poon. I can see that he’s a wonderful employee to HP BUT he’s an even better friend in real life. His character is unmatched. Every time we has the privilege to hang out with Juan, we jumped at it. He’s the Juan we want to lead us on every trip. He shows up every time, whether it’s a sponsored event or not. He’s the Juan you call when you’re in need of help. And he’s the Juan you call when you just want to chat about … anything. Thank you for making this our favorite trip Juan!

Can’t recommend HP enough! ⭐️

I have done 4 Hacker Paradise trips during the last year. The have all been amazing and I’ve had the chance to meet a ton of new people working while traveling. HP has helped me experience many new locations in the world and makes it so easy to do so while working as well as having tons of social activities. All facilitators (Juan, Sarah and Marketa) from my previous trips have done a great job at making things run smoothly.I can’t recommend HP enough and I’ve already booked my next trip. I’ll definitely have many more trips to come in the future.

Great for new and experienced nomads

I've been a digital nomad for almost 8 years I'm varying capacity. It's so nice to have a group of like-minded folks around you when exploring someplace new, and HP provides that. They make sure you have the basics, a great group of people, and lots of opportunities to meet and interact, without being an organized tour. It's a great mix of Freedom with a "program." I highly recommend for both brand new and experienced nomads alike!

No fuss traveling

I've now done two HP trips both really enjoyable. I've been working remotely for a few (4) years now and tend to mix up my travelling style. HP is great for when you want no fuss travel, to take all the hassle of logistics and planning out of visiting a new city and connect to a network of like-minded people. The facilitators are great and are there to help facilitate your trip and give you your space for your own experiences. A thing to note is that they're not there to hold your hands (or shouldn't be) to make your trip perfect. Travel and life in general can be chaotic and crazy and these trips are a great way to meet more like-minded people in a easy (read hassle-free) way of exploring new cities

Expectations Exceeded On Every Level

Words can not express my first HP experience in Buenos Aires. It was the perfect convergence of location, people, food, experiences, etc. etc. As a “Boomer”, I went into it not quite sure what to expect…or how I’d assimilate with the group. Well, any concern I might have had was crushed from day one!Sara (Cash) & Juan made the perfect team to manage the group and provide first-class direction and leadership to the myriad dining & entertainment opportunities available. The fun factor was off the charts. If you’re even remotely considering booking a trip with HP, don’t hesitate. It will provide an absolutely memorable experience and if you’re as lucky as me, a wealth of great new (super cool) friends! I’m already working on my next adventure with these guys.

I have never done remote work before and I was really nervous about the experience. But finally I decided I should give it a try and booked a trip with HP - and I'm so glad I did it! Being able to meet lots of people with different backgrounds gives you a broad new point of view about the life and the HP community inspires you to travel more! I am already planning my next trips, and suggest everybody should try this experience! Hope to meet some of you in the following trips!

Cape Town was amazing. Highly Recommend!

I joined the 2021 Cape Town chapter which was absolutely amazing. Our facilitators Juan and Tayler really were helpful with any issues that arose and the activities that were organized were fun. As a remote worker, it's a huge help to have someone set up a co-work, a comfortable living space and a group of like-minded people so that once you get there it's plug and play. I have found the Slack group to be very beneficial as well. I would recommend HP to anyone that is trying to maximize their remote work experience!

All the fun of traveling, with none of the fuss!

Hacker Paradise was such a great way to get out and explore a new place. It was awesome having logistics and social network already set and ready to go, so that I could focus on having fun. The facilitators who were on my trip, Tayler and Dee, clearly went above and beyond to make sure the trip and events went smoothly. I'll be joining again in just a couple months and couldn't be more excited!

Cape Town, South Africa

I have done only one trip with HP, but plan to do more. I traveled to Cape Town and arrived a few days before the Omicron outbreak. There was some concern among some of the group, but it was handled very professionally by the two administrators Taylor and Juan! A plan was put in place by the team and multiple outlets were provided to voice your thoughts/opinions/ideas. I could not commend them any higher on all they did for the group and they are a majority of the reason I felt safe during my time with HP and why I plan to go again. Otherwise, there was so much to do and wish I could have stayed twice as long to experience it all with the great people I met on the program. I would recommend to the company to keep a cap on the number of people allowed on a trip at one time. There were a lot of this trip and it was hard to coordinate time to experience and meet with some. I highly recommend anyone looking to travel remotely with others from all backgrounds to try a trip with HP.

Great New Way to Travel

Traveling with Hacker Paradise really opened my eyes to a new way to travel— it offered me the chance to explore a new international destination with the company of new friends. It was so nice to be able to share the experiences of excursions and day trips with a great group of people, not to mention numerous meals and meaningful conversations. Hacker Paradise’s facilitators did a great job helping us to quickly acclimate to our new surrounding and planned lots of (optional) activities. I highly recommend giving a trip with HP a try.

Best remote working experience!

I did my first HP trip last year and I'm so glad I did! As a first time fully remote worker this was the best introduction into digital nomad life. We had a great place to stay, with fantastic office facilities which made keeping up the day job super easy. You could take part in all of the organised activities as much or as little as you wanted to with no pressure- Sarah and Juan the facilitators kept everything running super smoothly.I was definitely not ready to come home and will absolutely be joining another HP programme again soon!

Happy member of the HP fam!

After following HP on social media for a few years, looking at the trips and wishing I could try it someday, last year I went on my first trip. It was my first time taking a working or organised group thing and I was excited (and a little nervous) about meeting new people, experiencing new locations and trying to find some balance with being productive while away from home. I absolutely loved the experience, I met some amazing people and the two facilitators on my trips (Juan & Cash) are my friends to this day, I miss them!! My trip started in Lisbon and it was brilliant to have the itinerary all mapped out with so many cool and interesting things to do & see. There’s no way I would have had so many rich and authentic experiences if the planning was down to me! Everybody was really nice and it’s a really great vibe with other members of the community, which included a broad range of people with varying interests and budgets - all brought together expertly by our facilitators like one big family. I enjoyed it so much I extended my first trip and went on to join the next one in Split, Croatia the following month. This year I hope to do another trip (or two!) and I highly recommend it to anybody that might be considering it. Might see you on the next one! ✌️✈️

You won't regret going

You won't regret going, you'll only regret not going sooner.HP is a great experience. I met people in all stages of life - recent grads, burned out professionals, people considering making big changes in their lives. Some did and some didn't of course, but for me it's been the attention to the journey that mattered.

New digital nomad giving it a try

I recently became a digital nomad and was seeking a program to let me have:-great co-working and wifi options-cool locations and adventures-built in social programming and support-competitive program pricing and finding valueHP delivered on all four of these things (plus great accommodation although I am pretty easy going on this) and much more. My favorite part were the connections I made and bolstered through HPs facilitated slack channel and weekly events. The support pre and post programming has been dynamic and I am excited to see how this programming works in other locations.

HP IS my digital nomad/traveling family

When I first started traveling working remotely my adventure started with HP. Since then, I have been on five trips with them in various countries and they ARE my digital nomad family/community. Being a nomad hopping around the world can get pretty lonely sometimes, but once you're part of a community like HP it starts getting to the point where there weren't too many places I'd go that either someone I met from a trip, or another HP alum might travel through at some point so you can meet up. Once you do a trip with HP (which is a great way to explore a country with a built-in friend network that finds the housing, coworking space, networking and social events, and many of the more fun or adventurous activities for you), you're forever in a community Slack group where you can connect with others, ask advice, or just share your experiences so you always feel like you're part of a community wherever you are. HP is one of the best things I've ever done to make not only my traveling life, but even my life not traveling (thanks pandemic!) more special and meaningful.

Had my first trip with HP in Kenya!

Had my first trip with HP in Kenya. It was a blast! It is not impossible to figure out the logistics of settling in a country you have never been to before, but with HP it was seamless. There was a facilitator on the ground, Solid Wifi Connections, SIM card pre-loaded with data. It made it easy for me to land in the country and the next day have my laptop open and working without skipping a beat. It also connects you to a community of people living a life similar to yours but from very diverse backgrounds and interests. Totally worth it, I plan to do more trips with HP

Do it! HP is so fun!

I’ve traveled with HP 5 times and highly recommend. It’s a great value and the facilitators are always accessible and very supportive. I feel safe when I travel with HP and have met several long-term friends through the years!

I have done 14 trips with HackerParadise so far and I love them. They are not a travel agency, they are community builders. When you travel with Hacker Paradise, you have everything you need to make instant friends with like-minded working travellers and nomads and be super productive. And because a lot of people tend to come back, the friends you make tend to be long term too, and you can bump back into them on the other side of the world and start things back where you left off. Honestly, I travel on my own too sometimes, but I am never happier and more productive as when I'm on a trip with them.

One of the best experiences of my life

One of the best experiences of my lifeOf all the digital nomad groups HP is known for having the best people. They're just the coolest humans - on top of that they just really know what they're doing and the facilitators are cool af. If you're hesitating - don't. Plus there's a bunch of flexibility, I did 8 months on trip hopping on and off but you can do as little as 2 weeks. Feels very much like a retreat/vacation from your "real" life in the best way. We also had some long time travelers in my group who were grateful to have defined community build for them without having to be solo all the time.

So happy I discovered them!

I had been solo traveling for a year and HP was exactly what I needed to reset, meet others within the nomad community and explore a new city completely out of my comfort zone. I've only had positive experiences with the wider community, team and while on trip. So happy I discovered them!

Truly, unequivocally, one of the finest experiences of my life

Truly, unequivocally, one of the finest experiences of my life. During the two months I spent in Lima with Hacker Paradise I felt like I lived more than the previous two years. The people at HP are inspiring; they're brilliant, motivated professionals who work hard and play hard and showed me that you can excel in your career without clocking in to an office 9-5 five days a week. The HP team takes care of the important details (lodging, orientation, coworking space, WTF the wifi is down), and the rest of the journey is whatever crazy adventures you and your new best friends decide to go discover. Stop sitting at home wishing you could be the kind of person who sees the world and apply to HP already.

I always had the dream of traveling and working, I had a suitable job (designer/web developer) and the money required for at least a few months experiment

I always had the dream of traveling and working, I had a suitable job (designer/web developer) and the money required for at least a few months experiment. But between idea and realisation there's this gap. Hacker Paradise closed that gap for me.

By taking away the burden of logistics, by providing a stable work environment for productivity, by filling the free time with leisure activities, weekend trips and community events I soon realised that the only thing that was stopping me from fulfilling my dream was myself.

One month in Chiang Mai with Hacker Paradise was enough shape my vision of digital nomadism and gave me a solid base on what it takes to be a good remote worker. Credits for the inspiring HP community and our trip leaders Spencer and Dale!

PS: I'm writing this (late) review from my new favourite spot, Bali, after a crazy month in Vietnam. So yeah, if you're in doubt it will probably change your life too.

Hacker Paradise surpassed my expectations for my first workcation in every way

Hacker Paradise surpassed my expectations for my first workcation in every way. This program is ideal for people who are striving to pursue success in their career, but also have a passion for traveling.

Quickly after meeting the participants, I joked that I had found “my people”.
My people = ambitious, independent, outgoing, adventurous individuals who love to travel and experience new cultures

The facilitators are wonderful individuals who do a fantastic job at coordinating and executing both educational and social events. The first day I met Dale and Spencer I immediately felt included in the HP community and they have a unique ability to connect with everyone.

The second I returned home I was ready to join HP again and will be going to Italy for my second trip in a few weeks.

Warning: Hacker Paradise is highly addictive!

I can't say enough great things about Hacker Paradise

I can't say enough great things about Hacker Paradise. I just finished three months with them, and nearly immediately signed up for two more trips. HP has breadth and depth in both the social/community and professional/networking realms. Every person I met was interesting, thoughtful, worldly, experienced, and kind. The "work hard play hard" mentality is a strong part of the culture. Long days at the stunning coworking locations are followed by evening adventures in various global hotspots-- and after all of that, coming back to our private rooms in comfortable housing caps off a perfect, full day. There is no wonder nearly every participant I've met either has or plans to return to the program. Lifelong friendships are created, professional connections made, and personal growth expanded. If you are curious about a digital nomad lifestyle, or simply want to experience a new city with a community already at your fingertips, there is not a better choice than Hacker Paradise.

If you're looking for a 'digital nomad' program definitely choose HP. I did tons of research and talked to participants of other work/travel programs and in the end, decided to join Hacker Paradise. I, without a doubt made the right decision. The program exceeded my expectations and really made me feel like I was apart of a community. HP is also super flexible which allows you to get what you want out of it. Some people are looking for professional development and networking, some are looking to travel for a short period of time and some want to start a new job/business/path. The flexibility in structure attract people from very diverse backgrounds. Most of all, the facilitators are amazing!!! I can't stay enough about how awesome they were--they truly made my experience worthwhile. I can't wait to join the group again.

HP was the experience that I was always looking for start traveling and working around the world. This is no hyperbole: Hacker Paradise has been one of the most productive and enjoyable experiences of my life

This is no hyperbole: Hacker Paradise has been one of the most productive and enjoyable experiences of my life. As a first-time nomad, I was nervous about balancing productivity and fun while traveling abroad, but the HP community provides a perfect balance of structure and spontaneity. Some highlights from my time in Porto and Jeju: port wine tasting in port caves, pot lucks with homemade food from half a dozen countries, weekend trips to the beach, swimming in rock pools, climbing South Korea's tallest mountain, experiencing a Korean sauna for the first time, and good old Goofy Foot (need I say more)...

Of course, what really makes the whole thing work are the people -- from Spencer and Dale who are absolutely amazing at keeping the ship running and setting the tone, to all the other attendees who are invariably 1) working on cool projects, 2) willing to share their knowledge and insight, 3) always down for a pint after a long day at the co-working space. If you're on the fence, don't be: just do it!

Community itself is also amazing. People are always willing to help each other.

Currently on my fourth trip with Hacker Paradise

Currently on my fourth trip with Hacker Paradise. The top four things that keep me coming back are:

1. Program organization - Facilitators Spencer and Dale are work relentlessly to make sure accommodations and co-working spaces meet the needs of the participants. If there are issues, for example with internet speeds or housing problems, they are on top of the problem right away, sometimes before we even notice it happening. They are responsive and understand the needs of digital nomads because they both been there.

2. Participants - Hacker Paradise does a great job of selecting people for their programs. Most everyone I've met during my trips have been dedicated, accepting, interesting, friendly, curious, and just generally good travelers. They work hard and yes, they party hard too but it's all great fun. I've made friends for life here. You can judge how great the group is and how addicting this lifestyle is by that fact that so many people either extend their stay or wish they could because the group is so hard to leave.

3. Diversity - Not only is there a diversity in gender but also in age and in career paths. Usually Hacker implies developer but in reality there are people from a number of different jobs here and the facilitators seem to put emphasis on choosing people from variety of backgrounds.

4. Lastly, Location - HP has gone to places this year that I've wanted to visit and the program allows me time to really get to know places with other people who are interested in seeing them too.

Hacker Paradise was a wonderful experience for me

Hacker Paradise was a wonderful experience for me. I was impressed with the level of organization Spencer & Dale were able to uphold throughout my stay in Argentina. Throughout all the issues with accommodations, co-working space or what have you, they did an amazing job. Equally as impressive, was the quality of people present in the program. Ultimately, you get out of this what you put into it. If you're looking for an incredible community, new memories, and are able to put yourself out there, this comes highly recommended :)

Hacker Paradise is my family away from home. It's a fantastic opportunity to meet amazing people, work from cool locations, and constantly be inspired by people doing cool things who are always willing to share their knowledge. And eat a lot of dessert.
