Description
Gotland ๐ธ๐ช๐ฟ Work, Breathe & Discover Sweden's Most Magical Island
Some destinations you know immediately. Gotland is not one of them, and that's exactly why we chose it.
Sweden's largest island sits in the middle of the Baltic Sea, and it has been quietly one of Scandinavia's best-kept secrets for centuries. Medieval city walls, Viking heritage, wildflower meadows, dramatic sea stacks rising from crystal-clear water, and a pace of life so unhurried it feels almost deliberate. It's the kind of place that makes you realise how much noise you've been carrying around without noticing.
This August, Feel.Travel is heading there. And we're staying somewhere truly special.
This property is a traditional vicarage built in 1902, located just 15 minutes by car from Visby, Gotland's stunning medieval capital. With 13 rooms, seven beautiful tiled stoves, impressive ceiling heights, and extraordinary natural light flooding in through tall windows, it's the kind of space that does something to your nervous system the moment you walk in.
The garden is framed by beautiful Gotland countryside. There's a hot tub, a BBQ, an outdoor dining area, a dedicated coworking space, and 150 Mbps fiber WiFi throughout every indoor and outdoor area. Seven fireplaces. A washer. Free parking. Everything you need and nothing you don't.
Your local host knows every corner of this island, runs optional sunrise yoga sessions in the garden, and will cook with you, explore with you, and help make this trip feel like staying with a friend who happens to have extraordinary taste in homes.
The Experience
Late August on Gotland is something else.
The summer light is still long and golden, the tourist crowds have started thinning, the island breathes again. The sea is warm enough to swim in. The meadows are still in bloom.
Mornings are slow. Coffee by the fireplace or in the garden depending on the day. There may be a gentle yoga session before anyone opens a laptop, optional, always optional, but somehow everyone usually shows up.
During the day, everyone works. The rectory has dedicated coworking space, big tables, quiet rooms, and enough corners that introverts and social workers alike find their spot. The WiFi is 150 Mbps fiber and has never gone down. Work happens here, properly.
When the laptops close, Gotland takes over.
We'll explore Visby's medieval old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that feels genuinely frozen in time. We'll find the sea stacks, those dramatic limestone columns rising from the Baltic that look like something from another planet. We'll discover hidden beaches that don't make it onto any tourist map, local restaurants serving food that tastes of the island itself, and those long Nordic evenings where the light refuses to fade and somehow the conversation refuses to end either.
Some evenings we'll be out. Other evenings we won't leave the rectory at all, hot tub, fireplace, good wine, and the kind of late-night talking that only happens when the right group of people is somewhere beautiful together.
This Trip Is For You If...
You're a remote worker, freelancer, creator, entrepreneur, or anyone who works location-independently, and you want to spend nine nights doing it somewhere genuinely unlike anywhere else.
You're open to a small intimate group, real people not a crowd, and you believe the best things about a trip are never the ones you planned in advance.
Ready to Join Us?
The group is intentionally small and curated because the fit matters.
If this sounds like your kind of experience, we'd love to welcome you to Gotland.
Once you experience the island, you'll understand why people who visit once tend to come back.
See you in Gotland. ๐
