4.5 stars for our time in Marrakech
Vorrei poter dare 4,5 stelle. La mia ragazza e io abbiamo fatto il chapter di gennaio a Marrakech, in Marocco, e ci siamo divertiti molto. La community di persone è stata sicuramente il momento migliore, tutti erano super cordiali, accoglienti, e ci siamo divertiti un mondo a vivere insieme un nuovo paese.
Gli eventi e le uscite di gruppo sono stati sempre un bel momento. Con il gruppo abbiamo esplorato il deserto, i mercati locali e scoperto tantissimo di ciò che questo fantastico paese ha da offrire.
Lo spazio di co-working andava benissimo per le nostre esigenze, pulito, tranquillo e con ottimi caffè & snack. Era a soli 5 minuti a piedi dal nostro appartamento, il che era molto comodo.
Il nostro appartamento era comodo, spazioso e aveva tutto il necessario tranne qualche cosa strana come gli strofinacci, ma i facilitatori se ne sono occupati. L’unico aspetto negativo dell’alloggio, che era al di fuori del controllo del facilitatore, è stato che il gestore dell’appartamento si è rivelato estremamente scortese e ha causato problemi a un paio di persone proprio alla fine. Ci hanno assicurato che l’azienda non userà più quell’alloggio, ma avrei voluto che la chiusura del viaggio fosse stata gestita in modo un po’ più fluido.
I facilitatori in viaggio erano ottimi, persone gentilissime che hanno fatto tutto il possibile per rendere il nostro soggiorno il più confortevole possibile.
Nel complesso, consiglierei sicuramente Hacker Paradise a un amico o a chiunque sia curioso di vivere all’estero o di provare uno stile di vita nomade. È un ottimo modo per avere un’introduzione a un paese con una sicurezza integrata e un gruppo di persone affini con cui esplorare. È bello avere tutto organizzato per te e una community immediata in un posto nuovo!
I wish I could give 4.5 stars. My girlfriend and I did the January chapter to Marrakech in Morocco and really enjoyed ourselves. The community of people was definitely the highlight, everyone was super friendly, welcoming, and we had a blast experiencing a new country together.
The communal events and outings were always a good time. With the group, we explored the desert, local markets, and discovered so much of what this awesome country has to offer.
The co-working space was great for our needs, clean, quiet, and had great coffee & snacks. It was only a 5-minute walk from our apartment which was very convenient.
Our apartment was comfortable, spacious and had all the basics minus a few odd things like dish towels but the facilitators handled that. The only downside of the accommodation which was outside of the facilitator's control was the apartment manager turned out to be extremely rude and caused problems for a few people right at the end. We've been assured the company won't use that accommodation again but I wish the closeout of the trip had been handled a little more smoothly.
The facilitators on trip were great, super nice people who did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
Overall, I would definitely recommend Hacker Paradise to a friend or anyone curious about living abroad or trying out a nomadic lifestyle. It's a great way to get an introduction to a country with a built-in safety and group of like-minded people to explore with. It's nice to have everything set up for you and an instant community in a new place!
