Ich hatte im Juni die Chance, mit Venture with Impact nach Medellín in Kolumbien zu reisen, und kann es nur wärmstens empfehlen! So möchte ich in Zukunft definitiv reisen. Sofort Gleichgesinnte als Freunde zu haben, einen Stadtexperten (danke, Lindsay!), eine tolle Unterkunft und die Möglichkeit, sich durch ehrenamtliche Arbeit authentisch mit der Gemeinschaft zu verbinden, ist unbezahlbar und macht es zu so viel mehr als nur einer Reise. Auch Medellín kann ich sehr empfehlen, es ist eine so fortschrittliche Stadt! Das öffentliche Verkehrssystem ist großartig und es gibt so viel zu tun: Wandern, Tanzstunden, Sport in den zahlreichen kostenlosen Outdoor-Fitnessstudios und fantastische „Menús del día“ und frische Produkte essen (so günstig!). I had the chance to travel to Medellin, Colombia with Venture with Impact in June and highly recommend it! This is definitely the way that I want to travel in the future. Immediately having like-minded friends, a city expert (thanks Lindsay!), a great place to stay and a way to authentically connect to the community through volunteering is invaluable and makes it so much more more than just a trip. I also highly recommend Medellin it is such a progressive city! The public transportation system is amazing and there is so much to do from hiking, dance lessons, exercising in the numerous free outdoor gyms and eating amazing "menus del dia" and fresh produce (for so cheap!).
