Tuve la oportunidad de viajar a Medellín, Colombia, con Venture with Impact en junio y ¡lo recomiendo muchísimo! Sin duda, esta es la manera en que quiero viajar en el futuro. Tener de inmediato amigos con tus mismas inquietudes, un experto en la ciudad (¡gracias, Lindsay!), un gran lugar donde alojarte y una forma de conectar de manera auténtica con la comunidad a través del voluntariado no tiene precio y hace que sea mucho más que un simple viaje. También recomiendo muchísimo Medellín, ¡es una ciudad tan progresista! El sistema de transporte público es increíble y hay muchísimo que hacer: senderismo, clases de baile, hacer ejercicio en los numerosos gimnasios al aire libre gratuitos y comer unos "menús del día" increíbles y productos frescos (¡y tan baratos!). ¡Muchas gracias, VWI! I had the chance to travel to Medellin, Colombia with Venture with Impact in June and highly recommend it! This is definitely the way that I want to travel in the future. Immediately having like-minded friends, a city expert (thanks Lindsay!), a great place to stay and a way to authentically connect to the community through volunteering is invaluable and makes it so much more more than just a trip. I also highly recommend Medellin it is such a progressive city! The public transportation system is amazing and there is so much to do from hiking, dance lessons, exercising in the numerous free outdoor gyms and eating amazing "menus del dia" and fresh produce (for so cheap!).
