Incredible community to work and travel with.
Este fue mi primer viaje con HP y fue una experiencia increíble. El lugar (Playa Grande, en Guanacaste, Costa Rica) tenía un ambiente playero muy tranquilo; los alojamientos se correspondían con su descripción y el grupo con el que viajé era muy divertido, con gente increíblemente diversa. Y el facilitador de la comunidad (Sam) estuvo muy atento.
Mi preocupación al empezar era que el grupo estuviera formado por gente que quería fiesta todo el día, pero no fue así. Durante la jornada laboral todo el mundo estaba muy centrado en el trabajo, pero los fines de semana hacíamos muchas aventuras en grupo
Un beneficio intangible de viajar con HP frente a hacerlo solo: una red de apoyo para cuando pasa algo inesperado. Durante el viaje, a alguien se le rompió el cargador del portátil... y a los 15 minutos de publicarlo en Slack, dos personas le ofrecieron un cargador extra para el resto del viaje, le recomendaron dónde comprar uno nuevo en Costa Rica y le ofrecieron llevarlo a la tienda.
Fue mi primer viaje con HP, pero no será el último.
This was my first HP trip, and it was an incredible experience. The location (Playa Grande in Guanacaste, Costa Rica) had some great chill beach vibes; accommodations were accurate to their description, and the group I traveled with was incredibly fun, incredibly diverse people. And the community facilitator (Sam) was very attentive.
My concern going into this was that the group would be made up of a bunch of people who wanted to party all day, but that was not the case. During the workday everyone was very much focused on work but on the weekends we had lots of group adventures
An intangible benefit of traveling with HP vs solo: a support network for when something unexpected happens. During the trip, someone's laptop charge broke... and within 15 minutes of posting it on Slack, they had two people offer an extra charge for the rest of the trip, a recommendation on where to buy a new one in Costa Rica, and an offer to get a ride to the store.
This was my first HP trip, but won't be my last.
