I had the best surfing experience ever with Rem at Awake Surf & Yoga Retreat in Siargao! From the very beginning, she was incredibly flexible and accommodating—she adjusted schedules to make sure I had the best possible surf conditions, which made a huge difference to my experience.

Rem truly goes above and beyond for her guests. She took such great care of everyone and paid close attention to each person’s individual surfing level, making sure we all had a safe, fun, and rewarding time in the water.

My stay at Muimui Villa Resort was also wonderful—comfortable, relaxing, and with a delicious breakfast included every morning. What really stood out was how thoughtfully Rem curated all the meals. Every lunch and dinner spot was carefully chosen so we could enjoy some of the best cuisine on the island.

One of the absolute highlights of the retreat was the island day trip to Mam-On Island—such a beautiful and unforgettable experience!

Throughout the entire stay, Rem made me feel so welcome and cared for—it honestly felt like being at home. The whole retreat had such a positive, relaxed vibe.

I highly recommend this retreat to anyone who loves surfing or simply wants to experience Siargao with great energy, amazing food, and genuine hospitality. I will definitely be back!

I had such a great experience at Awake Siargao — it really exceeded my expectations. Rem, the founder, completely sets the tone. She’s super warm, welcoming, and just has this genuinely bubbly energy that makes you feel comfortable right away. You can tell she’s put a ton of thought into the whole program, and it shows in every detail.

The surf instructors were also amazing — really skilled, patient, and encouraging. What stood out most is how the whole team works together to make sure you’re always at the best surf spot depending on the conditions that day.

One of the coolest parts was how non-touristy everything felt. We even went out to a pretty remote island where there were basically no other people around, which made the whole trip feel really special and unique.

Rem also picked incredible restaurants throughout the trip, every meal was something to look forward to and she genuinely goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is comfortable and having a good time. It just felt really thoughtful and well put together.
