Wanderist Life

Passei um mês com este grupo na Cidade do Cabo, na África do Sul, e tive um dos melhores meses da minha vida! A Cidade do Cabo em si já era incrível, mas viver essa experiência com este grupo de pessoas levou a outro nível. O grupo organizou ótimas atividades, os organizadores foram muito acolhedores e meu apartamento era de primeira (e eu sou extremamente exigente). As pessoas do grupo eram legais, simples e divertidas. Ainda mantenho contato com algumas delas, pessoal e profissionalmente. Eu também já viajei por um longo período com um grupo parecido e, sempre que você viaja assim, precisa estar pronto para um estilo de vida diferente do seu e para que as pessoas tomem algumas decisões por você que talvez você não tomasse se tivesse o controle (como onde você fica e onde você trabalha). Dito isso, eu definitivamente recomendaria este grupo!

I spent one month with this group in Cape Town, South Africa and had one of the best months of my life! Cape Town in itself was amazing but experiencing it with this group of people took it to another level. The group organized some great activities, the organizers were very welcoming, and my apartment was top notch (and I'm extremely picky). The people in the group were cool, down to earth, and fun. I still keep in touch with some of them on a personal and professional level. I have also traveled for an extended period with a similar group and whenever you travel like this you have to be ready for a way of life that is not like your own and be ready for people to make some decisions for you that you may not necessarily make if you had control (like where you stay and where you work). That being said, I would definitely recommend this group!

Tive a grande sorte de poder viajar com um grupo incrível de homens e mulheres no ano passado e não trocaria por nada neste mundo (trocadilho intencional). Esta plataforma me deu a oportunidade de fazer amigos e família para a vida toda, ao mesmo tempo em que corri atrás dos meus sonhos e saí da minha zona de conforto. Graças à Wanderist Life, não precisei me preocupar com as coisas chatas que podem tornar viajar assustador (como passagens, hospedagem, internet). Por isso, pude focar meu tempo e minha energia no que realmente importava pra mim e ter a experiência perfeita no exterior. Se você vai experimentar, prepare-se para subir o seu nível de "irado"... não há nada comum nisso nem nas pessoas envolvidas.

I was very fortunate to have had the opportunity to travel with an amazing group of men and women this past year and I wouldn't change it for the world (pun intended). This platform provided me with the opportunity to make friends and family that will last me a lifetime, while also pursuing my dreams and stepping out of my comfort zone. Thanks to Wanderist Life, I didn't have to focus on the tedious stuff that can make traveling daunting (like flights, lodging, internet). Because of this, I was able to focus my time and energy on the things that really mattered to me and have the perfect overseas experience. If you're going to try it out, prepare to upgrade your "dope" level...there's nothing ordinary about this or the people involved.

Adorei minha experiência como um todo. Recomendo muito para quem está em dúvida sobre se mudar para o exterior. Eu dei o salto e isso transformou completamente o que eu quero para o meu futuro. Conheci tantas pessoas incríveis, tanto do meu programa quanto locais. E tive experiências que vão durar a vida inteira. Agora sei que morar no exterior é possível e este programa ajudou a tornar isso realidade. Meu ano de viagem pelo exterior acabou de terminar, mas já estou pensando em ter um imóvel lá fora. Mais uma vez, se você está em dúvida, é só mergulhar de cabeça. Você não vai se arrepender.

Loved my overall experience. I would highly recommend this for anyone who is on the fence about moving overseas. I took the leap and it has completely transformed what I want my future to be. I met so many amazing people -- both in my program and locals. And, I had experiences that will last a lifetime. I now know that living abroad is doable and this program helped make it possible. My year of travel abroad just ended but I'm already thinking about owning property overseas. Again, if you're on the fence, just take the plunge. You won't regret it.

Participar do My Wander Year de 29 de julho de 2016 a 31 de julho de 2017 foi uma das melhores decisões da minha vida. Preparar-me para a viagem me deu a motivação de que eu precisava para simplificar minha vida, desapegar do que não precisava e focar em metas que são importantes para mim. Ter um ano inteiro sem o estresse de pagar contas (eles cuidaram de aluguel, gás, luz, internet, celular, férias etc. Tudo o que eu precisava fazer era me alimentar, rs) me deu tempo para focar na minha saúde e nos meus planos para o futuro. Perdi 32 libras e saí do "atoleiro" da minha vida anterior, correndo na roda de hamster. Serei eternamente grata à empresa por me colocar em movimento e ao grupo de Wanderists que viajou comigo o ano todo. É uma experiência que eu nunca teria feito por conta própria nem aproveitado nem de longe tanto se tivesse que planejar toda a logística sozinha. Recomendo muito tanto as experiências de 1 mês quanto as de um ano inteiro.

P.S. Meu apartamento em Medellín era algo com que eu só tinha sonhado! Eu tinha segurança/porteiro, vista do 16º andar, piscina, academia, sauna a vapor, sala de jogos, playground... era incrível. Eu chorei quando chegou a hora de me mudar, rs. Meus apartamentos na Cidade do Cabo e em Praga também eram fantásticos.

Participating in My Wander Year from July 29, 2016-July 31, 2017 was one of the best decisions of my life. Preparing for the trip gave me the motivation I needed to streamline my life, declutter, and focus on goals that are important to me. Having a full year without the stress of paying bills (they took care of rent, gas, electric, internet, mobile phone, vacations, etc. All I had to do was feed myself, lol) gave me time to focus on my health and plans for the future. I lost 32 pounds and got "unstuck" from my previous life running on the hampster wheel. I'll be eternally grateful to the company for getting me moving and the group of Wanderists who travelled with me all year. The experience is something I never would have done on my own nor enjoyed nearly as much if I had to plan all of the logistics myself. I highly recommend both 1 month and full year experiences.

P.S. My apartment in Medellin was something I'd only dreamt about! I had a security guard/doorman, views from the 16th floor, pool, gym, steam room, game room, playground ... it was amazing. I cried when it was time to move, lol. My Cape Town and Prage apartments were also fantastic.

Viajei com este grupo por um ano e foi uma das melhores experiências da minha vida. A melhor parte é a comunidade de pessoas com quem você viaja. Se você está considerando, eu digo para dar o mergulho e conhecer as experiências mensais.
