Wanderist Life

J'ai passé un mois avec ce groupe au Cap, en Afrique du Sud, et j'ai vécu l'un des meilleurs mois de ma vie ! Le Cap était déjà incroyable en soi, mais le vivre avec ce groupe de personnes l'a porté à un autre niveau. Le groupe a organisé de super activités, les organisateurs étaient très accueillants et mon appartement était top (et je suis extrêmement difficile). Les gens du groupe étaient cool, simples et drôles. Je garde encore le contact avec certains d'entre eux, sur le plan personnel et professionnel. J'ai aussi voyagé longtemps avec un groupe similaire et, quand on voyage comme ça, il faut être prêt à un mode de vie différent du sien et à ce que les gens prennent certaines décisions à votre place que vous ne prendriez pas forcément si vous aviez le contrôle (comme où vous logez et où vous travaillez). Cela dit, je recommanderais définitivement ce groupe !

I spent one month with this group in Cape Town, South Africa and had one of the best months of my life! Cape Town in itself was amazing but experiencing it with this group of people took it to another level. The group organized some great activities, the organizers were very welcoming, and my apartment was top notch (and I'm extremely picky). The people in the group were cool, down to earth, and fun. I still keep in touch with some of them on a personal and professional level. I have also traveled for an extended period with a similar group and whenever you travel like this you have to be ready for a way of life that is not like your own and be ready for people to make some decisions for you that you may not necessarily make if you had control (like where you stay and where you work). That being said, I would definitely recommend this group!

J'ai eu la grande chance de voyager l'an dernier avec un groupe incroyable d'hommes et de femmes, et je ne changerais ça pour rien au monde (jeu de mots voulu). Cette plateforme m'a donné l'occasion de me faire des amis et une famille pour la vie, tout en poursuivant mes rêves et en sortant de ma zone de confort. Grâce à Wanderist Life, je n'ai pas eu à me soucier des trucs fastidieux qui peuvent rendre un voyage intimidant (comme les vols, l'hébergement, internet). Du coup, j'ai pu consacrer mon temps et mon énergie à ce qui comptait vraiment pour moi et vivre l'expérience parfaite à l'étranger. Si vous comptez tenter l'aventure, préparez-vous à augmenter votre niveau de "dope"... il n'y a rien d'ordinaire dans tout ça ni chez les gens impliqués.

I was very fortunate to have had the opportunity to travel with an amazing group of men and women this past year and I wouldn't change it for the world (pun intended). This platform provided me with the opportunity to make friends and family that will last me a lifetime, while also pursuing my dreams and stepping out of my comfort zone. Thanks to Wanderist Life, I didn't have to focus on the tedious stuff that can make traveling daunting (like flights, lodging, internet). Because of this, I was able to focus my time and energy on the things that really mattered to me and have the perfect overseas experience. If you're going to try it out, prepare to upgrade your "dope" level...there's nothing ordinary about this or the people involved.

J'ai adoré mon expérience globale. Je la recommande vivement à toute personne qui hésite à s'installer à l'étranger. J'ai sauté le pas et cela a complètement transformé ce que je veux pour mon avenir. J'ai rencontré tant de personnes formidables, à la fois dans mon programme et parmi les locaux. Et j'ai vécu des expériences qui dureront toute une vie. Je sais maintenant que vivre à l'étranger est faisable et que ce programme a aidé à le rendre possible. Mon année de voyage à l'étranger vient de se terminer, mais je pense déjà à acheter un bien à l'étranger. Encore une fois, si vous hésitez, plongez simplement. Vous ne le regretterez pas.

Loved my overall experience. I would highly recommend this for anyone who is on the fence about moving overseas. I took the leap and it has completely transformed what I want my future to be. I met so many amazing people -- both in my program and locals. And, I had experiences that will last a lifetime. I now know that living abroad is doable and this program helped make it possible. My year of travel abroad just ended but I'm already thinking about owning property overseas. Again, if you're on the fence, just take the plunge. You won't regret it.

Participer à My Wander Year du 29 juillet 2016 au 31 juillet 2017 a été l'une des meilleures décisions de ma vie. Me préparer au voyage m'a donné la motivation dont j'avais besoin pour simplifier ma vie, me désencombrer et me concentrer sur des objectifs importants pour moi. Avoir une année entière sans le stress de payer des factures (ils s'occupaient du loyer, du gaz, de l'électricité, d'internet, du téléphone portable, des vacances, etc. Je n'avais qu'à me nourrir, lol) m'a donné le temps de me concentrer sur ma santé et mes projets d'avenir. J'ai perdu 32 livres et je me suis "débloquée" de ma vie d'avant, qui tournait dans une roue de hamster. Je serai éternellement reconnaissante à l'entreprise de m'avoir remise en mouvement et au groupe de Wanderists qui ont voyagé avec moi toute l'année. C'est une expérience que je n'aurais jamais faite seule et que je n'aurais pas appréciée à moitié autant si j'avais dû planifier toute la logistique moi-même. Je recommande vivement les expériences d'1 mois comme celles d'une année entière.

P.S. Mon appartement à Medellín était quelque chose dont j'avais seulement rêvé ! J'avais un agent de sécurité/portier, une vue depuis le 16e étage, une piscine, une salle de sport, un hammam, une salle de jeux, une aire de jeux... c'était incroyable. J'ai pleuré quand est venu le moment de déménager, lol. Mes appartements du Cap et de Prague étaient aussi fantastiques.

Participating in My Wander Year from July 29, 2016-July 31, 2017 was one of the best decisions of my life. Preparing for the trip gave me the motivation I needed to streamline my life, declutter, and focus on goals that are important to me. Having a full year without the stress of paying bills (they took care of rent, gas, electric, internet, mobile phone, vacations, etc. All I had to do was feed myself, lol) gave me time to focus on my health and plans for the future. I lost 32 pounds and got "unstuck" from my previous life running on the hampster wheel. I'll be eternally grateful to the company for getting me moving and the group of Wanderists who travelled with me all year. The experience is something I never would have done on my own nor enjoyed nearly as much if I had to plan all of the logistics myself. I highly recommend both 1 month and full year experiences.

P.S. My apartment in Medellin was something I'd only dreamt about! I had a security guard/doorman, views from the 16th floor, pool, gym, steam room, game room, playground ... it was amazing. I cried when it was time to move, lol. My Cape Town and Prage apartments were also fantastic.

J'ai voyagé avec ce groupe pendant un an et ça a été l'une des meilleures expériences de ma vie. Le meilleur, c'est la communauté de gens avec qui on voyage. Si vous hésitez, je dis : lancez-vous et découvrez les expériences mensuelles.
