Wanderist Life

Pasé un mes con este grupo en Ciudad del Cabo, Sudáfrica, ¡y fue uno de los mejores meses de mi vida! Ciudad del Cabo ya era increíble de por sí, pero vivirla con este grupo de personas la llevó a otro nivel. El grupo organizó actividades geniales, los organizadores fueron muy acogedores y mi apartamento era de primera (y soy extremadamente exigente). La gente del grupo era genial, sencilla y divertida. Todavía mantengo el contacto con algunos de ellos a nivel personal y profesional. También he viajado durante un periodo largo con un grupo similar y siempre que viajas así tienes que estar preparado para un modo de vida que no se parece al tuyo y para que otras personas tomen algunas decisiones por ti que quizá tú no tomarías si tuvieras el control (como dónde te alojas y dónde trabajas). Dicho esto, ¡sin duda recomendaría este grupo!

I spent one month with this group in Cape Town, South Africa and had one of the best months of my life! Cape Town in itself was amazing but experiencing it with this group of people took it to another level. The group organized some great activities, the organizers were very welcoming, and my apartment was top notch (and I'm extremely picky). The people in the group were cool, down to earth, and fun. I still keep in touch with some of them on a personal and professional level. I have also traveled for an extended period with a similar group and whenever you travel like this you have to be ready for a way of life that is not like your own and be ready for people to make some decisions for you that you may not necessarily make if you had control (like where you stay and where you work). That being said, I would definitely recommend this group!

Tuve la gran suerte de poder viajar con un grupo increíble de hombres y mujeres el año pasado y no lo cambiaría por nada del mundo (juego de palabras intencionado). Esta plataforma me dio la oportunidad de hacer amigos y familia para toda la vida, a la vez que perseguía mis sueños y salía de mi zona de confort. Gracias a Wanderist Life, no tuve que ocuparme de lo tedioso que puede hacer que viajar resulte abrumador (como los vuelos, el alojamiento o el internet). Por eso pude dedicar mi tiempo y mi energía a lo que de verdad me importaba y tener la experiencia perfecta en el extranjero. Si vas a probarlo, prepárate para subir tu nivel de "genialidad"... no hay nada ordinario en esto ni en la gente que forma parte.

I was very fortunate to have had the opportunity to travel with an amazing group of men and women this past year and I wouldn't change it for the world (pun intended). This platform provided me with the opportunity to make friends and family that will last me a lifetime, while also pursuing my dreams and stepping out of my comfort zone. Thanks to Wanderist Life, I didn't have to focus on the tedious stuff that can make traveling daunting (like flights, lodging, internet). Because of this, I was able to focus my time and energy on the things that really mattered to me and have the perfect overseas experience. If you're going to try it out, prepare to upgrade your "dope" level...there's nothing ordinary about this or the people involved.

Me encantó mi experiencia en general. Se lo recomiendo muchísimo a cualquiera que esté dudando sobre mudarse al extranjero. Yo di el salto y ha transformado por completo lo que quiero para mi futuro. Conocí a un montón de personas increíbles, tanto de mi programa como locales. Y viví experiencias que durarán toda la vida. Ahora sé que vivir en el extranjero es posible y este programa ayudó a hacerlo realidad. Mi año de viaje por el extranjero acaba de terminar, pero ya estoy pensando en comprar una propiedad fuera. Insisto: si estás dudando, lánzate. No te arrepentirás.

Loved my overall experience. I would highly recommend this for anyone who is on the fence about moving overseas. I took the leap and it has completely transformed what I want my future to be. I met so many amazing people -- both in my program and locals. And, I had experiences that will last a lifetime. I now know that living abroad is doable and this program helped make it possible. My year of travel abroad just ended but I'm already thinking about owning property overseas. Again, if you're on the fence, just take the plunge. You won't regret it.

Participar en My Wander Year del 29 de julio de 2016 al 31 de julio de 2017 fue una de las mejores decisiones de mi vida. Prepararme para el viaje me dio la motivación que necesitaba para simplificar mi vida, deshacerme de lo que sobraba y centrarme en metas importantes para mí. Tener un año entero sin el estrés de pagar facturas (ellos se encargaron del alquiler, el gas, la electricidad, internet, el teléfono móvil, las vacaciones, etc. Lo único que tenía que hacer era alimentarme, jaja) me dio tiempo para centrarme en mi salud y en mis planes de futuro. Perdí 32 libras y me "desatasqué" de mi vida anterior, corriendo en la rueda del hámster. Estaré eternamente agradecida a la empresa por ponerme en marcha y al grupo de Wanderists que viajó conmigo todo el año. Es una experiencia que nunca habría hecho por mi cuenta ni habría disfrutado ni de lejos tanto si hubiera tenido que planificar toda la logística yo misma. Recomiendo muchísimo tanto las experiencias de 1 mes como las de un año completo.

P.D. ¡Mi apartamento en Medellín era algo con lo que solo había soñado! Tenía guardia de seguridad/portero, vistas desde el piso 16, piscina, gimnasio, sauna de vapor, sala de juegos, parque infantil... era increíble. Lloré cuando llegó el momento de mudarme, jaja. Mis apartamentos en Ciudad del Cabo y Praga también fueron fantásticos.

Participating in My Wander Year from July 29, 2016-July 31, 2017 was one of the best decisions of my life. Preparing for the trip gave me the motivation I needed to streamline my life, declutter, and focus on goals that are important to me. Having a full year without the stress of paying bills (they took care of rent, gas, electric, internet, mobile phone, vacations, etc. All I had to do was feed myself, lol) gave me time to focus on my health and plans for the future. I lost 32 pounds and got "unstuck" from my previous life running on the hampster wheel. I'll be eternally grateful to the company for getting me moving and the group of Wanderists who travelled with me all year. The experience is something I never would have done on my own nor enjoyed nearly as much if I had to plan all of the logistics myself. I highly recommend both 1 month and full year experiences.

P.S. My apartment in Medellin was something I'd only dreamt about! I had a security guard/doorman, views from the 16th floor, pool, gym, steam room, game room, playground ... it was amazing. I cried when it was time to move, lol. My Cape Town and Prage apartments were also fantastic.

He viajado con este grupo durante un año y ha sido una de las mejores experiencias de mi vida. Lo mejor es la comunidad de gente con la que viajas. Si lo estás pensando, yo digo que te lances y pruebes las experiencias mensuales.
