Wanderist Life

Ho passato un mese con questo gruppo a Città del Capo, in Sudafrica, e ho vissuto uno dei mesi più belli della mia vita! Città del Capo di per sé era fantastica, ma viverla con questo gruppo di persone l'ha portata a un altro livello. Il gruppo ha organizzato ottime attività, gli organizzatori sono stati molto accoglienti e il mio appartamento era di prim'ordine (e sono estremamente esigente). Le persone del gruppo erano simpatiche, alla mano e divertenti. Sono ancora in contatto con alcune di loro a livello personale e professionale. Ho anche viaggiato a lungo con un gruppo simile e ogni volta che si viaggia così bisogna essere pronti a uno stile di vita diverso dal proprio e a far prendere alle persone alcune decisioni al posto tuo che magari non prenderesti se avessi il controllo (come dove alloggi e dove lavori). Detto questo, consiglierei assolutamente questo gruppo!

I spent one month with this group in Cape Town, South Africa and had one of the best months of my life! Cape Town in itself was amazing but experiencing it with this group of people took it to another level. The group organized some great activities, the organizers were very welcoming, and my apartment was top notch (and I'm extremely picky). The people in the group were cool, down to earth, and fun. I still keep in touch with some of them on a personal and professional level. I have also traveled for an extended period with a similar group and whenever you travel like this you have to be ready for a way of life that is not like your own and be ready for people to make some decisions for you that you may not necessarily make if you had control (like where you stay and where you work). That being said, I would definitely recommend this group!

Ho avuto la grande fortuna di viaggiare l'anno scorso con un gruppo straordinario di uomini e donne e non cambierei nulla al mondo (gioco di parole voluto). Questa piattaforma mi ha dato l'opportunità di fare amici e famiglia per tutta la vita, mentre inseguivo i miei sogni e uscivo dalla mia zona di comfort. Grazie a Wanderist Life non ho dovuto occuparmi delle noiose incombenze che possono rendere il viaggio scoraggiante (come voli, alloggio, internet). Per questo ho potuto concentrare tempo ed energie su ciò che mi importava davvero e vivere l'esperienza perfetta all'estero. Se hai intenzione di provarla, preparati ad alzare il tuo livello di "dope"... non c'è niente di ordinario in questo né nelle persone coinvolte.

I was very fortunate to have had the opportunity to travel with an amazing group of men and women this past year and I wouldn't change it for the world (pun intended). This platform provided me with the opportunity to make friends and family that will last me a lifetime, while also pursuing my dreams and stepping out of my comfort zone. Thanks to Wanderist Life, I didn't have to focus on the tedious stuff that can make traveling daunting (like flights, lodging, internet). Because of this, I was able to focus my time and energy on the things that really mattered to me and have the perfect overseas experience. If you're going to try it out, prepare to upgrade your "dope" level...there's nothing ordinary about this or the people involved.

Ho amato la mia esperienza nel complesso. La consiglio vivamente a chiunque sia indeciso se trasferirsi all'estero. Io ho fatto il salto e ha trasformato completamente ciò che voglio per il mio futuro. Ho conosciuto tantissime persone fantastiche, sia nel mio programma sia del posto. E ho vissuto esperienze che dureranno una vita. Ora so che vivere all'estero è fattibile e questo programma ha aiutato a renderlo possibile. Il mio anno di viaggio all'estero è appena finito, ma sto già pensando di possedere una proprietà all'estero. Ancora una volta, se sei indeciso, tuffati e basta. Non te ne pentirai.

Loved my overall experience. I would highly recommend this for anyone who is on the fence about moving overseas. I took the leap and it has completely transformed what I want my future to be. I met so many amazing people -- both in my program and locals. And, I had experiences that will last a lifetime. I now know that living abroad is doable and this program helped make it possible. My year of travel abroad just ended but I'm already thinking about owning property overseas. Again, if you're on the fence, just take the plunge. You won't regret it.

Partecipare a My Wander Year dal 29 luglio 2016 al 31 luglio 2017 è stata una delle migliori decisioni della mia vita. Prepararmi al viaggio mi ha dato la motivazione di cui avevo bisogno per semplificare la mia vita, fare ordine e concentrarmi sugli obiettivi per me importanti. Avere un anno intero senza lo stress di pagare le bollette (loro si occupavano di affitto, gas, luce, internet, telefono cellulare, vacanze, ecc. Tutto quello che dovevo fare era sfamarmi, lol) mi ha dato il tempo di concentrarmi sulla mia salute e sui miei piani per il futuro. Ho perso 32 libbre e mi sono "sbloccata" dalla mia vita precedente passata a correre nella ruota del criceto. Sarò eternamente grata all'azienda per avermi rimessa in movimento e al gruppo di Wanderists che hanno viaggiato con me tutto l'anno. È un'esperienza che non avrei mai fatto da sola né apprezzato nemmeno la metà se avessi dovuto pianificare tutta la logistica da me. Consiglio vivamente sia le esperienze di 1 mese sia quelle di un anno intero.

P.S. Il mio appartamento a Medellín era qualcosa che avevo solo sognato! Avevo una guardia di sicurezza/portiere, vista dal 16º piano, piscina, palestra, bagno turco, sala giochi, parco giochi... era incredibile. Ho pianto quando è arrivato il momento di traslocare, lol. Anche i miei appartamenti a Città del Capo e a Praga erano fantastici.

Participating in My Wander Year from July 29, 2016-July 31, 2017 was one of the best decisions of my life. Preparing for the trip gave me the motivation I needed to streamline my life, declutter, and focus on goals that are important to me. Having a full year without the stress of paying bills (they took care of rent, gas, electric, internet, mobile phone, vacations, etc. All I had to do was feed myself, lol) gave me time to focus on my health and plans for the future. I lost 32 pounds and got "unstuck" from my previous life running on the hampster wheel. I'll be eternally grateful to the company for getting me moving and the group of Wanderists who travelled with me all year. The experience is something I never would have done on my own nor enjoyed nearly as much if I had to plan all of the logistics myself. I highly recommend both 1 month and full year experiences.

P.S. My apartment in Medellin was something I'd only dreamt about! I had a security guard/doorman, views from the 16th floor, pool, gym, steam room, game room, playground ... it was amazing. I cried when it was time to move, lol. My Cape Town and Prage apartments were also fantastic.

Ho viaggiato con questo gruppo per un anno ed è stata una delle migliori esperienze della mia vita. La parte migliore è la community di persone con cui viaggi. Se stai valutando, io dico di fare il grande passo e dare un'occhiata alle esperienze mensili.
