Africa Nomads: Addis Abeba, Etiopia 🇪🇹

Siamo stati con Africa Nomads per 3 mesi, partendo da Lamu e continuando con loro nei loro primi 2 chapter fuori dal Kenya, ad Addis Abeba e Zanzibar. È stata di gran lunga una delle migliori esperienze che abbiamo mai avuto e non vedo già l'ora del nostro prossimo viaggio con loro ❤️

Siamo stati abbastanza fortunati da passare del tempo con ciascuno degli host, Alejandra, Steve, Felipe e Pepe, e le parole non possono spiegare quanto siano speciali queste 4 persone!! Ognuno di loro ha fatto di tutto e di più perché tutto filasse liscio, nonostante alcune delle sfide che l'Africa ci ha lanciato 😅 La loro cura per gli ospiti è incredibile; dalla gestione del wifi e di logistiche complicate al passare ore a cercare come puoi praticare un hobby che hai detto di amare solo per rendere la tua esperienza ancora migliore 🫶

Ma più di tutto, il loro amore per l'Africa e la loro conoscenza dei posti in cui abbiamo soggiornato ci hanno fatto sentire davvero coinvolti nella comunità locale, qualcosa che può essere difficile da ottenere quando si viaggia.
Nel complesso, hanno creato qualcosa di molto bello qui, riunendo sconosciuti che se ne vanno sentendosi come una famiglia 🫶 Non potrei consigliarli di più!
Teniamo già d'occhio le prossime destinazioni, li seguiremmo davvero ovunque!!

We stayed with Africa Nomads for 3 months, starting in Lamu and continuing with them on their first 2 chapters outside of Kenya to Addis Ababa and Zanzibar. It was by far one of the best experiences we’ve ever had and I’m already looking forward to our next trip with them ❤️

We were lucky enough to spend time with each of the hosts, Alejandra, Steve, Felipe and Pepe, and words can’t explain how special these 4 people are!! Each of them went above and beyond to make sure that everything went smoothly, despite some of the challenges Africa threw at us 😅 Their care for their guests is unbelievable; from handling wifi and complicated logistics to spending hours researching how you can do a hobby you’ve mentioned that you like just to make your experience that much better 🫶

But more than anything, their love of Africa and their knowledge of the places we stayed meant that we really felt involved in the local community, something that can be difficult to achieve when travelling.
Overall, they have create something very beautiful here, bringing strangers together that leave feeling like family 🫶 I couldn’t recommend them more highly!
We are already keeping an eye out for future locations, we would truly follow them anywhere!!

Ho appena concluso il più incredibile soggiorno di 3 mesi con Africa Nomads - da Lamu ad Addis Abeba e poi a Zanzibar - e non so come esprimere adeguatamente il livello di apprezzamento e adorazione che ho per questi esseri umani incredibili <3 <3 Queste persone CONOSCONO davvero l'Africa; e fa un'ENORME differenza quando si gestiscono lavoro e logistica lontanissimo da casa. Non solo soddisfano ogni tuo desiderio, ma sono il tipo di persone che ti infilano di nascosto dei regali nella borsa prima di partire...

Fatevi un favore e scoprite questi posti con queste persone. Non ve ne pentirete nemmeno per un secondo! Andrò ovunque vada Africa Nomads. Fino al prossimo incontro, probabilmente tra non più di qualche mese!

I've just ended the most incredible 3 month stay with Africa Nomads - from Lamu to Addis Ababa and then to Zanzibar - and I don't know how to appropriately convey the level of appreciation and adoration I have for these incredible humans <3 <3 These folks really KNOW Africa; and it makes a HUGE difference when navigating work and logistics far far from home. Not only do they cater to your every desire, but they're the type of people who sneak gifts into your bag before you leave...

Do yourself a favor and get to know these places with these people. You won't regret it for a second! I will go anywhere Africa Nomads goes. Until we meet again, probably in no more than a few months!

Ho appena finito un viaggio di 3 mesi con Africa nomad, partecipando ai loro chapter a Lamu, Addis Abeba e Zanzibar. Onestamente è stata una delle più belle esperienze che abbia mai avuto.

Gli host sono bravissimi a guidarti attraverso la natura a volte caotica di questi luoghi meravigliosi, fanno di tutto per fornire internet e ti tengono sempre occupato con un programma di attività su misura.

Consiglio vivamente di partecipare a uno o tre chapter con loro!

I've just finished a 3 month trip with Africa nomad, joining them for chapters in Lamu, Addis Ababa and Zanzibar. It's honestly been one of the greatest experiences I've had.

The hosts are amazing at guiding you through the sometimes chaotic nature of these wonderful locations, go above and beyond to provide internet and always keep you busy with a tailored schedule of activities.

Highly recommend joining them for a chapter or three!

Avevo voluto visitare l'Africa subsahariana ma esitavo perché ero preoccupata per questioni come l'affidabilità dell'elettricità e del wifi. Non avevo mai fatto un'esperienza di coliving/coworking, ma quando ho incontrato AfricaNomads sembrava un buon modo per vivere l'Africa.

Sono stata a Nairobi per sei settimane. Come donna sui 65 anni ero un po' preoccupata, ma tutti sono stati super accoglienti e mi hanno invitata ovunque anche se la maggior parte di loro era abbastanza giovane da essere mia figlia o mio nipote. :) Ho davvero sentito di essermi fatta amici per la vita durante il mio soggiorno.

Elettricità e wifi erano generalmente disponibili e il soggiorno include una SIM locale e tutti i dati di cui hai bisogno. Ci sono tantissime attività a cui puoi partecipare, o no, comprese tutte le cose turistiche standard e le esperienze nascoste che si ottengono solo da chi ci vive.

I membri del mio gruppo erano decisamente lì per lavorare ed erano generalmente tranquilli e ordinati. Ho avuto un'esperienza così bella a Nairobi che sto pensando di unirmi di nuovo al gruppo più avanti quest'anno per Lamu e l'Etiopia.

Alejandra e Felipe vengono dal settore dell'ospitalità e si vede davvero. Si fanno in quattro per fornire qualsiasi informazione o aiuto di cui hai bisogno e sono stati infinitamente pazienti con tutte le nostre pretese da primo mondo. :)

I'd wanted to visit sub-Saharan Africa but hesitated because I was concerned about issues such as reliable electricity and wifi. I hadn't stayed in a coliving/coworking situation before but when I encountered AfricaNomads it seemed like a good way to experience Africa.

I stayed in Nairobi for six weeks. As a woman in her mid-60s I was a little concerned but everyone was super accepting and invited me everywhere even though most of them were young enough to be my children or grandchildren. :) I really felt like I made lifelong friends during my stay.

Electricity and wifi were generally available, and the stay includes a local sim card and all the data you need. There are plenty of activities you can join in with, or not, including all the standard tourist things as well as hole-in-the-wall experiences you only get from people living there.

Members in my group were definitely there to work, and were generally quiet and tidy. I had such a good experience in Nairobi that I'm planning to join the group again later this year for Lamu and Ethiopia.

Alejandra and Felipe come from the hospitality industry and it really shows. They bend over backwards to provide whatever information or help that you need and were endlessly patient with all our first world demands. :)
