Il mio soggiorno di un mese a Lamu è stato a dir poco meraviglioso. Questo era il mio primo chapter con AfricaNomads e non riuscivo a credere a quanto fosse ben pianificato tutto e a quanto il team fosse in contatto con la gente del posto a Lamu.

La casa nella città vecchia ha molto carattere ed era molto spaziosa. Si raggiungeva a piedi tutto ciò che serviva, soprattutto il punto di partenza di molte delle nostre avventure.

Tra giri in dhow al tramonto, island hopping, gite in kayak di una notte, giri in bici sulla spiaggia e infiniti (e deliziosi) pasti locali, c'era così tanto da fare e allo stesso tempo molti caffè tranquilli e terrazze sui tetti in cui rifugiarsi quando serviva.

Felipe è stato il nostro host per tutto il mese ed è stato incredibilmente attento, gentile e premuroso con il nostro gruppo. Ha reso davvero indimenticabile il nostro tempo a Lamu e si è assicurato che fosse sfruttato al massimo.

Non potrei essere più grata per questa esperienza e spero di tornare un giorno per altri chapter!

My one month stay in Lamu was nothing short of wonderful. This was my first chapter with AfricaNomads and I couldn’t believe how well planned everything was and how connected the team was with Lamu locals.

The house in the old town has a lot of character and was very spacious. It was walkable to everything you needed, especially the starting point for many of our adventures.

From sunset dhow rides, island hopping, overnight kayaking trips, bike rides on the beach, and endless (and delicious) local meals, there was so much to do and yet many quiet cafes and rooftops to retreat to when needed.

Felipe was our host the whole month and he was incredibly intentional, kind, and attentive to our group. He truly made our time in Lamu unforgettable and ensured our time was used to the fullest.

I couldn’t be more grateful for this experience and hope to return for more chapters someday!
