J'ai rejoint VWI en octobre 2017 à Medellín, en Colombie, et le mois a filé. Avant de choisir VWI, je cherchais depuis un bon moment le programme adapté à mon calendrier. La formule d'un mois minimum convient parfaitement à quelqu'un qui veut avoir un impact mais ne peut pas forcément s'absenter 6 mois ou plus pour cela. Anne était une excellente source d'informations et est clairement passionnée par l'organisation de terrain.

J'ai adoré les gens de mon placement et j'espère qu'ils ont appris quelques compétences créatives sous ma houlette.

Un grand merci à Jess d'avoir été aussi accommodante que possible avec notre groupe, qui est devenu un groupe de bons amis.

Enfin, le programme donne aussi envie d'être plus proactif et d'avoir plus d'impact dans son propre quartier/sa propre communauté, ce que j'apprécie énormément. Dans l'ensemble, si tu cherches quelque chose dans une période de transition et d'incertitude, je recommande VWI comme moyen de sortir de ta zone de confort et d'être entouré de personnes qui te ressemblent et veulent poursuivre la conversation sur la façon d'avoir un impact.

I joined VWI for October 2017 in Medellin Colombia and the month flew by. Before choosing VWI, I had been searching for the right program to suit my timeline for quite some time. The month minimum set up works perfectly for someone who wants to make an impact but can’t necessarily take 6+ months off to do so. Anne was a great source of information and is clearly passionate about the grass roots organization.

I loved the people in my placement and hope they learned a few creative skills under my thumb.

A big thank you to Jess for being as accommodating as possible to our group, who have now become good friends.

Lastly, the program also ignites being more pro-active and impactful in your own backyard/ community which is something I value immensely. Overall, if you are looking for something in a time of transition and unknown, I recommend VWI as a way to get out of your own box and be around like-minded individuals looking to keep the conversation going on how to impact.
