Mi sono unito a VWI a ottobre 2017 a Medellín, in Colombia, e il mese è volato. Prima di scegliere VWI cercavo da parecchio tempo il programma giusto per le mie tempistiche. La formula del mese minimo funziona perfettamente per chi vuole avere un impatto ma non può prendersi 6+ mesi per farlo. Anne è stata un'ottima fonte di informazioni ed è chiaramente appassionata dell'organizzazione di base.

Ho amato le persone della mia destinazione e spero abbiano imparato qualche competenza creativa sotto la mia guida.

Un grande grazie a Jess per essere stata il più accomodante possibile con il nostro gruppo, che ora è diventato un gruppo di buoni amici.

Infine, il programma stimola anche a essere più proattivi e incisivi nel proprio quartiere/nella propria comunità, cosa che apprezzo immensamente. Nel complesso, se cerchi qualcosa in un momento di transizione e incertezza, consiglio VWI come modo per uscire dai tuoi schemi e stare con persone con i tuoi stessi interessi che vogliono portare avanti la conversazione su come avere un impatto.

I joined VWI for October 2017 in Medellin Colombia and the month flew by. Before choosing VWI, I had been searching for the right program to suit my timeline for quite some time. The month minimum set up works perfectly for someone who wants to make an impact but can’t necessarily take 6+ months off to do so. Anne was a great source of information and is clearly passionate about the grass roots organization.

I loved the people in my placement and hope they learned a few creative skills under my thumb.

A big thank you to Jess for being as accommodating as possible to our group, who have now become good friends.

Lastly, the program also ignites being more pro-active and impactful in your own backyard/ community which is something I value immensely. Overall, if you are looking for something in a time of transition and unknown, I recommend VWI as a way to get out of your own box and be around like-minded individuals looking to keep the conversation going on how to impact.
