Awake Siargao
I had a great week with the team of Awake Siargao in February and am really looking forward to going back! 🥰🙏🏻 However I hadn’t understood from se websitw that the private rooms are not in the place that is pinned on Google maps (close to Cloud9), but instead on the other side of General Luna in a boutique hostel called Bajala so I was quite upset finding that out once I got there after 24 hours of traveling
Ich hatte im Februar eine tolle Woche mit dem Team von Awake Siargao und freue mich sehr darauf, wieder hinzufahren! 🥰🙏🏻
Allerdings hatte ich von der Website nicht verstanden, dass die Privatzimmer nicht an dem Ort sind, der bei Google Maps markiert ist (nahe Cloud9), sondern auf der anderen Seite von General Luna in einem Boutique-Hostel namens Bajala, also war ich ziemlich aufgebracht, als ich das nach 24 Stunden Reise erst vor Ort herausgefunden habe. Zum Glück hat meine Gastgeberin Castel mir das Gefühl gegeben, verstanden zu werden, und hat sich um mich gekümmert, sogar als ich schlecht gelaunt war. 🫣😂 Castel und Rem sind beide so tolle Menschen, man spürt wirklich die philippinische Gastfreundschaft und Freundlichkeit, die von ihnen ausstrahlt (sie haben mir sogar mein persönliches Tuktuk besorgt, weil ich keinen Roller fahre 🫰🏻). Mein Surflehrer JR war auch großartig, hat mich dazu gebracht, verschiedene Boards auszuprobieren, und meine Grenzen verstanden. 🙏🏻
Alles in allem kann ich Awake definitiv empfehlen, wenn du ein unbeschwertes Surferlebnis auf der Insel haben willst! ❤️🤙🏻

Luckily my host(ess) Castel made me feel understood and took care of me even while I was grumpy. 🫣😂 Castel and Rem are both such amazing people, you really can feel the Philipino hospitality and kindness radiating from them (they even hooked me up with my personal tuktuk because I don’t drive a scooter 🫰🏻). My surf instructor JR was great as well, pushing me to try different boards and also understanding my limits. 🙏🏻
All in all I can definitely recommend Awake if you want to have a carefree surf experience on the island! ❤️🤙🏻
