FRENCH IMMERSION - the first coliving month designed to boost your language skills while working in a friendly and productive environment!

In the unique setting of Château Coliving, while keeping your usual work routine, here’s what you can expect during the month:

A weekly class (one beginner, one intermediate) with a French native or qualified teacher
Accountability partner: after an initial goal-setting session, keep each other on track
Daily conversations: 15-minute practice in the morning – partners are rotated each week)
Power hours: two slots per day for focused French study (no phones, no distractions)
Duolingo Challenge: commit to your streak and cross off each day on our whiteboard for everyone to see
Everyday French life: buy your groceries at the market, chat with locals at the nearby bar, and practice ordering your food at a restaurant
Adventures: visit museums, beaches, galleries, and artisanal shops to learn about French culture and history
Movie nights: switching between French and English films and subtitles unveils language subtleties and curiosities
Weekly book club: read a short story or poem and discuss it with other colivers
A cooking class: a French Chef will help us all learn some classics (all dietary requirements catered for)

Activities led by you: whether it’s a French song chorus at karaoke or a cooking challenge with French-only recipes, we encourage all your suggestions!

Our stay at chateau de l’isle marie was delightful! living in a castle for two weeks was the highlight of our entire trip to france. located in a natural park normandy, the chateau is close to d-day beaches, many cute towns, and a short road trip to mont st michel. our bedroom and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. the common areas were very spacious and comfortable and we enjoyed spending time and joining in on fun activities with the other guests. we work remotely and the office space had very good wifi, and comfortable desks and chairs. jorge and gabe did an amazing job managing the chateau and creating a wonderful atmosphere and community among the co-livers. they were very attentive to our needs. highly recommend this place to any digital nomad!

Staying at this lovely chateau was one of the highlights of our recent trip to france (we stayed here as a base for exploring normandy). we had such a peaceful and restorative stay. valentina and nicola are excellent hosts, and dinner was truly unforgettable!
