Dave Williams

Co-founder and Chairman, Dave Williams is a serial entrepreneur and investor with several large exits of 360i, SearchIgnite (now IgnitionOne) and BLiNQ Media, digital media and ad tech companies. He now resides in Lisbon, Portugal through their Golden Visa Residency program as he and his wife fell in love with the culture, people and entrepreneurial spirit. Since selling the 360i and IgnitionOne businesses, they have been scaled to global powerhouses in the ad tech space with over 1,000 and 500 employees, respectively. His most recent, BLiNQ Media, was sold to Gannett in late 2012 and named a top 10 transaction that year in NYC.

With a lust for travel, adventure and the outdoors, Williams now spends the majority of his time traveling and acting as a mentor, startup advisor and angel investor. Following the BLiNQ Media sale, Dave has spent the past four years traveling the world and saw an opportunity to improve ease of travel for freelancers, location independent entrepreneurs and remote employees given advancements in smartphones and connectivity. He also has a strong desire to help startups and corporations with employee retention programs incorporating the NomadX lifestyle.

Steven Allen

Co-founder, President and Operational Lead, Steven Allen’s journey to the digital nomad life began at a young age. Hailing from a North Carolina town of fewer than 10,000 residents, Allen spent his youth dreaming of what the rest of the world had in store. As part of a family of entrepreneurs that goes back several generations, he learned sales skills at a young age and began his first ventures selling birdhouses, consulting for local small businesses, and operating the neighborhood lawn service with Fortune 500 precision.

While an undergrad at Washington and Lee University, Allen often heard about the travels and successes of Dave Williams as one of the school’s prominent business alumni, entrepreneur and mentor. They built their relationship around their passion for entrepreneurship, travel and exploration.

Very bad experience. i was communicating with one of the landlords in lisbon. through nomadx then a message appeared that “my account was deactivated” this was after having a previous successful booking through nomads it is disappointing that this is how they treat their customers. they charge the customers a 10% in crease of the normal rent price every month.response: i was not the one messing around with the fees. in fact on of the landlord from your platform, contacted me direclty through facebook because they did not want to pay the fees. it was one of the landlords on your website. anyways, it is easy to find out who the landlords are because they are all on airbnb. the fees are too high, if they were lower people might be happy to pay them. good luck.

Our apologies for this bad experience but you were flagged for trying to go around payments on the platform which is in violation of our terms of service and community values which is why you were banned.

Supposed to be a cheaper alternative to airbnb aimed at nomads (no short-term rentals / one month minimum to book), but the pricing is the same... you're paying at least 2-3 times what a local would pay to rent that space. just another way for foreigners to get ripped off, and locals to destroy their own housing market (i've yet to meet one person that doesn't complain about rents increasing around porto, and yet sites like this is why it's happening). far fewer options than airbnb, property reviews are almost non-existent, and rental terms are less flexible. i think they need to revise the business model if they're going to compete.

Until now everything works good.however you need to inform the guests for the tax from the city (lisbon).it's important too, know a little bit more information about the possible gusts, like where they came from, nationality etc.

It takes so much of my time to check with the host if the place is available or not. Some will respond and some not. No review or real experience testimony.Just make the system like Airbnb The discount promo seems not real in my opinion. It’s a marketing come on.

There were a whole host of fantastic apartments on the nomadx site. the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and did their utmost to find a place that best suited our needs. they were quick to respond to queries and relentlessly chased leads for us. not only that, they also assisted in negotiating rental prices, making the whole experience a lot less stressful.

Someone finally catering to the needs of nomads. as i tend to live and travel a lot. are usually spend a few months in one country and then few months in another country. using airbnb had become too expensive as the fees are crazy, but renting long-term wasn’t option either. and then there comes nomadx with great customer service and i amazing price and options.

Amazing experience!the process to find a flat in lisbon went very well. the platform is very easy to use and the hosts are really responsive. the flats i had the chance to visit were in pretty good conditions and looked exactly as on the pictures. i truly recommend it! much better than the common websites where you have to deal with fake ads all the time.special thanks to mr. filipe pires for all the support during the process. 5 stars *****

Excellent company for finding great places to stay in lisbon for an affordable price. highly recommended! i stayed in a private room in selinas, a 4 star hotel near cais do sadre (centre of lisbon) for a few months, for the price of a normal apartment! luxury accomodation if you search for it!

I thing the website is a very good ideia. it worked very well for some reservations, but i had a reservation as a host really strange. the photo was strange i couldn't not see the face of a person. and the profil didnt inspire confidence. i refuseed the reservation because i didnt had any response from him. just to let you know and help with my feedback :).

It's basically like airbnb, but nomadx has more freedom in how to interact with host. i liked the service especially because i had more flexibility in negotiating with host, and build my own way of trust with the person. the hosts i contacted were all nice, very grounded. i like that they have a good nomad community led by filipe. i like to use the service again, and want to explore more.

Nomadx is the best! i worked with felipe and dave on finding the perfect place to stay while i’m visiting lisbon for 3 months. they were able to give me great insight on the best parts of lisbon that i would enjoy and made me feel very comfortable about my trip. they were also able to save me over 10% over airbnb which had it listed as well and this is the busy season. incredible! they will treat you like family because of their love for the city and wanting more people to discover and enjoy all of it.

It’s simple a good offer for a mid term rental. no extra hidden costs and a nice overview of properties to rent. if you can abuse from the usual booking security system offered by other housing platforms, you are here in the right side of the street.

For a start i think the website and platform was ok. it seems you did the upgrades needed for a better use.i think that you could improve more with small little things like add a reviews part for hosts and nomads, maybe do the payment directly and with different payment possibilities like half before etc, put the messages layout with spaces between the sentences and paragraphs. add some additional information/features regarding the host and the place.

Awesome!feedback: it'd be great if i can update a pending reservation. example: when i've made a reservation and the landlord has accepted the dates but before i have confirmed them, it would be great to be able to make changes to the dates and then have the landlord accept the new ones and then i can confirm them.great site, thanks!

I had the pleasure of staying in a nomadx apartment for my stay in lisbon last year. it was a great apartment, with comfortable accommodations, fast wifi, a desk with a monitor/tv, ample space for my wife and i, and we were able to make friends with others staying in the apartment and that's one of the greatest things is the community that nomadx offers to their users. it's really great to know that not only do you have accommodations that work for a business-minded traveler, but you also have a built-in community that you can join up and hang out with once the workday is done.

Saves you time and money! highly recommend! as a digital nomad, it is always a hassle for me to find good accommodation and that doesn't charge you per day. this website helped me find good and affordable accommodation, with high wifi speeds and a good work desk. also finding great housemates is perfect here since it is all used by digital nomads! i wish i could use this service everywhere in the world! keep up the good work!

Great platform for long/medium term rental. the places are checked for the guest confort. and that’s great because of little details like internet speed. but the best is that they connect the people renting with them in a community, and that’s really cool, there is lots of evens, growth opportunities and sharing. brilliant!
