Ich habe am Programm im Juli 2018 in Chiang Mai, Thailand, teilgenommen. Das ist das perfekte Ein-Monats-Erlebnis für Leute, die remote arbeiten, eine Auszeit vom Job nehmen oder einfach reisen und in eine andere Umgebung eintauchen wollen. Viele Reisegruppen und Programme hetzen heutzutage durch mehrere Orte, ohne genug Zeit zu lassen, einen Ort wirklich zu "kennen". Mir hat sehr gefallen, dass VWI eine komfortable Unterkunft, WLAN und lokale Unterstützung bietet, sodass man nicht allein ist. Außerdem hat es mir sehr gefallen, die anderen Teilnehmer kennenzulernen und tolle Aktivitäten zu machen, wie Tempel zu besuchen, thailändische Gerichte kochen zu lernen und Wasserfälle hochzuklettern!! Ich habe immer noch Kontakt zu den Freunden, die ich durch das Programm gefunden habe, und zu den Mitgliedern des VWI-Teams. Ich würde diese Erfahrung auf jeden Fall empfehlen, wenn du eine andere Art von Reise- und Kulturerlebnis suchst. Ich werde auf jeden Fall bei einem weiteren VWI-Programm für meinen nächsten Ausflug mitmachen!

I participated in the July 2018 Chiang Mai, Thailand program. This is the perfect one month experience for people who want to work remotely, take some time off from work or just travel and immerse themselves in a different environment. A lot of travel groups and programs these days rush through multiple locations without allowing enough time to really "know" a place. I really liked how VWI provides comfortable accommodation, wifi and local support, so you won't be alone. I also really enjoyed meeting other participants and doing some awesome activities like visiting temples, learning to cook Thai dishes and climbing up waterfalls!! I still keep in touch with friends I've made from the program as well as the VWI team members. I'd definitely recommend this experience if you're looking for a different type of travel and culture experience. I will definitely participate again in another VWI program for my next getaway!
