An absolutely amazing experience! I can’t wait to go back again!

J’ai eu la chance de vivre à la fois les projets Costa Rica et Thaïlande et je n’ai que du bien à en dire. Venture Within vous permet de vivre le pays et ses cultures d’une façon que le tourisme ne permet pas. Pendant le projet, on s’immerge vraiment dans la culture et on en ressort avec un nouveau respect des autres. Aujourd’hui encore, deux ans après les projets, je reste en contact avec les membres de mes groupes. Travailler ensemble avec des personnes qui pensent comme vous est tellement amusant et c’est un excellent entraînement pour l’avenir.

C’était la première fois que je voyageais hors de mon pays quand j’ai rejoint Venture Within. Faire partie du groupe et avoir le transport, l’hébergement, les activités et les repas pris en charge était un tel soulagement.

Je recommande vivement tous les projets Venture Within. Vous en ressortirez en ayant tellement appris, pas seulement sur le pays et la culture, mais sur vous-même.

I was fortunate enough to experience both the Costa Rica and Thailand projects and have only great things to say about them. Venture Within allows you to experience the country and its cultures in ways that being a tourist can't get you. During the project you truly immerse yourself in the culture and come out with a new found respect of others. I still to this day keep in touch with the member of my groups two years after the projects. Working together with like minded individuals is so much fun and is great practice for the future.

It was my first time traveling outside my country when I joined Venture Within. Being apart of the group and having transportation, accommodation, activities, and food taken care of for me was such a great relief.

I highly recommend all Venture Within projects. You will come out learning so much, not only about the country and culture, but about yourself.

J’ai eu la chance de participer au programme Thaïlande de juin 2018. Dire que ce fut un voyage qui change la vie serait un euphémisme. C’était une expérience si unique d’immersion culturelle complète, qui m’a ouvert les yeux de tant de façons ! Grâce à la partie leadership du programme, j’ai appris des outils qui m’aideront à la fois personnellement et professionnellement. Découvrir plusieurs villes de Thaïlande et voir les similitudes et différences de chacune était génial ! Parmi mes moments forts préférés, il y a les promenades au bord de la rivière avec les éléphants à Surin, le Monk Chat à Chiang Mai, et notre journée libre, passée à faire du rafting en eaux vives dans la jungle ! Ces deux semaines ont été les meilleures de ma vie, et je prévois maintenant de participer au programme Costa Rica l’an prochain. Si vous envisagez de participer à un programme Venture Within, FAITES-LE ! Vous ne le regretterez pas !

I was lucky enough to be a participant for the June 2018 Thailand program. To say that it was a life-changing trip would be an understatement. It was such a unique experience of complete cultural immersion, which opened my eyes in so many ways! Through the leadership portion of the program, I learned tools that will help me both personally and professionally. Experiencing multiple cities of Thailand and seeing the similarities and differences of each was awesome! Some of my favorite highlights include river walks with the elephants in Surin, the Monk Chat in Chiang Mai, and our free day, which was spent white water rafting through the jungle! These two weeks were the best of my life, and I'm now planning to participate in the Costa Rica program next year. If you're considering participating in a Venture Within program, DO IT! You won't regret it!

Mon expérience avec Venture-within a été tout ce dont j’avais besoin et bien plus. Les gens avec qui j’ai été jumelée au hasard sont devenus certains de mes meilleurs amis pour la vie ! Sans parler du fait que nos chefs de groupe étaient deux des personnes les plus cool que j’aie jamais rencontrées ! Christy et Liz nous ont gardés dans un environnement sûr tout du long, je ne me suis pas inquiétée une seconde pour ma sécurité pendant tout le voyage au Costa Rica. Elles m’ont aussi aidée pour mes objectifs futurs avec d’excellentes recommandations pour m’aider à arriver exactement là où je veux être sur mon chemin. Les ateliers de leadership m’ont vraiment aidée à faire une pause et à réfléchir pendant notre séjour, ce qui est difficile quand on est plongé dans une autre culture. Les ateliers étaient super pour s’asseoir et trier les nombreuses pensées et sentiments et aussi pour voir son expérience à travers les yeux de ses camarades de groupe ! Ils m’ont vraiment aidée à sortir de ma coquille et voir le même monde sous différentes perspectives devait être ma partie préférée des ateliers. L’aspect culturel du voyage était si gratifiant. Nous avons plongé dans une autre partie du monde et une autre langue pour aider et apprendre autant que nous le pouvions, et c’est exactement ce que nous avons fait ! J’ai appris tellement plus de la langue là-bas que je n’aurais jamais pu en lisant un livre ! Liz nous donnait des mini-leçons de la langue que nous essayions dans la vraie vie, et quelle meilleure façon d’apprendre la langue que ça ? Pouvoir aussi donner un coup de main dans un endroit qui en a le plus besoin, c’était exactement ce que je cherchais. Aider les autres m’a aidée à me trouver à la fin.

Je recommande Venture-within à 100% de tout mon cœur !

My experience with Venture-within was everything I needed and so much more. The people I was randomly paired up with ended up being some of my very best lifelong friends! Not to mention our group leaders were two of the coolest people I've ever met! Christy and Liz kept us in a safe environment the entire time, wasn't worried one bit about my safety on the entirety of the trip to Costa Rica. They also have helped me out in my future goals as well with outstanding recommendations to help me get to exactly where I want to be on my path. The leadership workshops really helped me to pause and reflect during our time, which is hard to do when you're submerged in another culture. The workshops were great to sit down and sort through the many thoughts and feelings and to also see your experience through your group mates eyes as well! They really helped me to come out of my shell and seeing the same world from different perspectives had to be my favorite part of the workshops. The cultural aspect of the trip was so rewarding. We dove into another part of the world and language to help out and learn as much as we could, and that's exactly what we did! I learned so much more of the language there than I ever could reading a book! Liz gave us mini lessons of the language that we tried out in real life, and what's a better way to learn the language than that? Also being able to provide helping hands in a place that needs it the most was just what I was looking for. Helping other people helped me to find myself in the end.

I 100% recommend Venture-within with all of my heart!
