He tenido una experiencia realmente maravillosa aquí en Medellín, Santa Marta y el campo. Antes de venir a visitar este país, amigos y familiares expresaron temor por mi viaje debido a sus infundadas ideas de peligro. Mis experiencias han disipado de verdad esas ideas erróneas. Las personas que he conocido durante mi estancia han sido realmente muy cordiales, abiertas y acogedoras. Al hacerme amiga de distintas personas, he llegado a apreciar cómo la cultura de cada uno ha intentado de verdad superar la adversidad y las dificultades sociales mostrando su apertura para aceptar y acoger a gente de todo el mundo. Recomendaría sinceramente a otros que vivan la riqueza y la apertura de un lugar tan hermoso en esta parte del mundo.

I have truly had a wonderful experience here in Medellin, Santa Marta and the countryside. Before coming to visit this country, friends and family expressed fear in my coming because of their unfounded thoughts of danger. My experiences have truly dispelled those misconceptions. The people I have encountered throughout my stay have truly been very heartfelt, open and welcoming. By becoming friends with individuals, I have come to appreciate how one's culture has truly been trying to overcome aversity and social struggles by expressing their openness to accepting and welcoming others from around the world. I would truly recommend others to experience the richness and openess of such a beautiful spot in this portion of the world.
