Community is top notch, the safety is the worst
La organización de los eventos está bien hecha, tuve buenas experiencias en las ciudades visitadas. La comunidad es increíble y lo más valioso de estos programas; uno conoce a gente verdaderamente excepcional.
La seguridad que ofrece el programa es muy mala. Me robaron una gran cantidad de dinero en lo que se suponía que era un alojamiento seguro, elegido y reservado por Remote Year. RY no ofreció soluciones claras, alegando que "esto no es algo que Remote Year pueda simplemente reembolsar (en efectivo o en crédito) ya que no saben exactamente qué pasó". RY no intentó investigar mi caso más a fondo; sigo sin mi dinero, lo cual afecta directamente mi capacidad de seguir viajando.
The organization of events is well done, I got good experiences at the cities visited. The community is amazing, and the most valuable out of these programs; one gets to meet truly exceptional people.
The security the program provides is very poor. I got a large amount of money stolen from what was supposed to be a safe and secure accommodation, chosen and booked by Remote Year. RY did not provide clear solutions, stating that "this isn’t something that Remote Year can just repay (in cash or credit) since they do not know exactly what happened". RY did not try to investigate my case any further, I'm still at loss of money that directly impacts my ability to keep traveling.
