Description

Diving Nomads specializes in retreats that combine world-class diving with productive remote work for certified divers who refuse to compromise on either passion.

Our Red Sea retreat in Egypt offers a month-long experience where weekdays are dedicated to focused work in professionally equipped coworking spaces, while weekends feature diving expeditions to pristine coral reefs and historic wrecks. Based in an ocean-view villa between Hurghada and El Gouna, participants enjoy high-speed internet, ergonomic workstations, and carefully curated groups of 10-14 diving professionals.

Unlike traditional workations that treat diving as an afterthought or dive trips that ignore work responsibilities, our retreats are designed from the ground up for the unique intersection of location-independent professionals and serious divers. We provide the infrastructure, community, and schedule structure that allows both career momentum and underwater adventures to thrive.

Perfect for remote workers who hold Advanced Open Water certification or higher and understand that the best lifestyle integrates rather than separates professional growth and oceanic exploration.

While I’ve done colivings before, this was my first diving-focused coliving—and I absolutely loved it! Claudia and Tobi did an amazing job curating and organizing this month of travel

While I’ve done colivings before, this was my first diving-focused coliving—and I absolutely loved it! Claudia and Tobi did an amazing job curating and organizing this month of travel.

I knew only one person at the beginning of the trip, but I was very pleasantly surprised by how nicely curated the group felt. It was mostly experienced nomads and divers who easily vibed together. There is something really special about traveling with a community of fellow divers and having that baked in already in the place and trip.

The house had all the required amenities. A huge kitchen that could easily be shared, a private table in your room for meetings, and mostly stable and fast internet. Even if something went in the wrong direction, Claudia and Tobi did an amazing job to make it work!

That’s a personal thing, but I really enjoyed that there was a great focus on work. Monday to Friday you saw people working and being busy. It felt productive. And it felt "OK" to work, and not like it sometimes happens where I'm the only one who needs or wants to work a lot...

While the weekends were mostly about diving and pre-organized, the weeks were community-focused and felt more organic. Workouts, padel, talks, dinner, game nights—everything grew natively from our weekly family planning meetings on Monday mornings.

Finally, just a huge thank you to all the people who have been part of this experience. I'm really looking forward to being part of the next trip!

I joined my first Diving Nomads experience without knowing anyone

I joined my first Diving Nomads experience without knowing anyone. My goal was to make more nomad friends who are also divers, and that's exactly what I found. It was a great group, and we had a lot of fun with not just the diving, but also the coliving, coworking, and other activities. Claudia and Tobi did a great job organizing all of the logistics to make the trip go as smoothly as possible for us, and they created a really nice community. I would highly recommend, and hope to join more Diving Nomads trips!
