Nomads in Wonderlands

Ich war bei Nomads-in-Wonderland-Retreats in Chiang Mai, Bansko und Antalya und habe es nie bereut, Ja zu sagen. Jedes Retreat hat eine völlig andere Mischung aus Leuten, Orten, Gesprächen und Erlebnissen gebracht, aber dieses Community-Gefühl ist immer da.

I’ve joined Nomads in Wonderland retreats in Chiang Mai, Bansko and Antalya, and I’ve never regretted saying yes. Every retreat has brought a completely different mix of people, places, conversations and experiences, but that feeling of community is always there.

Ich hatte einen absolut fantastischen Monat mit Nomads in Wonderlands in Antalya. Wir hatten einen actionreichen und abwechslungsreichen Zeitplan, der ernstere Dinge wie Diskussionsgruppen mit Fitness- und Social-Aktivitäten, Spieleabenden, gemeinsamen Mahlzeiten und natürlich Wochenendabenteuern kombinierte. Und das alles, während man trotzdem genug Kapazität hatte, um Arbeit zu erledigen. Mir hat besonders gefallen, wie engagiert die Community war. Die Beteiligung war im Allgemeinen hoch, besonders bei den Wochenend- und einigen Abendveranstaltungen, und es war ein wirklich toller Raum, um Verbindungen zu knüpfen, die hoffentlich weit über diese Reise hinaus bestehen bleiben.
Die Gruppe war auch fantastisch, und die Mehrheit waren Wiederholungskunden oder kannten Camille und Alex von anderswo, was meiner Meinung nach an sich schon ein Beleg für die Community ist, die sie aufgebaut haben, und die Art von Menschen, die sie anzieht.
Ich bin seit fünf Jahren Nomade und habe in dieser Zeit an verschiedenen strukturierten Programmen und Coworkations teilgenommen, und nicht alle sind so. Diese hier ist definitiv besonders.
Camille und Alex stecken so viel Gedanken und Sorgfalt in diese tolle Erfahrung für die Teilnehmenden, das kam wirklich rüber. Wir haben enorm von ihrem lokalen Wissen, ihren Fähigkeiten im Community-Aufbau und ihrer eigenen Begeisterung für alles profitiert, was wir im Laufe des Monats gemacht haben.
Ich bin so froh, dass ich dabei war! Tatsächlich habe ich mich schon für ein weiteres Wonderland angemeldet, und ich glaube, das sagt alles über die Wirkung und den Wert dieses Programms.

I had an absolutely fantastic month with Nomads in Wonderlands in Antalya. We had an action-packed and varied schedule that combined more serious things like discussion groups with fitness and social activities, game nights, shared meals and, of course, weekend adventures. And all this while still giving you enough capacity to get work done. I really enjoyed how engaged the community was. Participation was generally high, especially for weekend and some of the evening events, and it was a really great space for making connections that I hope will endure long beyond this trip.
The group was also fantastic and a majority were returning customers or knew Camille and Alex from elsewhere, which I think is in itself a testament to the community they have built and the kind of people it attracts.
I have been a nomad for five years and have joined various structured programmes and coworkations during that time, and not all of them are like this. This one is definitely special.
Camille and Alex put so much thought and care into making this a great experience for participants, that really came through. We benefited enormously from their local knowledge, their community-building skills and their own enthusiasm for everything we did over the course of the month.
I'm so happy I joined! In fact, I have already signed up for another Wonderland, and I think that says it all about the impact and value of this programme.

Das länger gestreckte Format ist so schön, weil man trotzdem produktiv arbeiten und dann bei den verschiedenen sozialen Events einsteigen kann, wenn man will. Es nehmen auch genug Leute teil, sodass man sich die Events aussuchen kann, die am besten zu einem passen, und kein schlechtes Gewissen haben muss, nicht bei allem dabei zu sein. Ein weiterer Aspekt, der sich durch das längere Format ergibt, sind tiefere Beziehungen und Freunde fürs Leben. Ich war jetzt bei 3 Nomads in Wonderlands und werde bei künftigen Events dabei sein. Wir sehen uns in Wonderlands!

The longer spread out format is so nice because you can still be productive with work and then tap into the various social events when you want. There are enough people attending as well so you can pick and choose the events that best suit you and not have to feel guilty about not attending everything. Another aspect that lends itself to the longer format is deeper relationships formed and friends for life. I've been to 3 Nomads in Wonderlands now and will be going to future events. Ich bin bei Nomads in Wonderland in Chiang Mai für mein erstes Coworkation dabei gewesen und es war eine unglaublich positive Erfahrung. Vom Moment meiner Ankunft an gab es ein unmittelbares Gemeinschaftsgefühl, durch das es sich in einem neuen Land einladend und geerdet statt überwältigend anfühlte.

Die Balance zwischen organisierten Aktivitäten und Freizeit war genau richtig. Ich hatte Raum, mich auf die Arbeit zu konzentrieren, Chiang Mai zu erkunden und mich auf natürliche, ungezwungene Weise mit anderen zu verbinden. Die Gruppe zog nachdenkliche, neugierige Leute an, und die Gespräche und Freundschaften waren wirklich das Highlight.

Wenn du neu im Digital-Nomad-Lifestyle bist oder einfach eine eingebaute Community beim Reisen suchst, empfehle ich Nomads in Wonderland sehr. Es ist eine bedeutungsvolle Art, einen neuen Ort zu erleben und dabei echte Verbindungen zu knüpfen.

I joined Nomads in Wonderland in Chiang Mai for my first coworkation, and it was an incredibly positive experience. From the moment I arrived, there was an immediate sense of community that made being in a new country feel welcoming and grounded rather than overwhelming.

The balance between organized activities and free time was just right. I had space to focus on work, explore Chiang Mai, and connect with others in a natural, unforced way. The group attracted thoughtful, curious people, and the conversations and friendships were truly the highlight.

If you’re new to the digital nomad lifestyle or simply looking for a built-in community while traveling, I highly recommend Nomads in Wonderland. It’s a meaningful way to experience a new place while forming genuine connections.

Ich habe zum dritten Mal am Wonderlands-Programm teilgenommen. Offensichtlich gefällt es mir also. Teil der Community zu sein und den Monat gemeinsam zu verbringen war meine Hauptmotivation, am Programm teilzunehmen. Ich würde jedem empfehlen, beim Wonderlands-Programm dabei zu sein, der eine tolle Zeit mit Gleichgesinnten haben, unterwegs neue Freunde finden und voneinander lernen möchte. Für mich persönlich war es ein toller Kickoff für mein Nomadenleben.

I attended for the third time in the Wonderlands program. So obviously i like it. Being part of the community and spending the month together was my main motivation to take part in the program. I would recommend to be part of the Wonderlands program for everyone who wants to have a great time with likeminded people, make new friends along the way and learn from each other. For me personally it was a great kick off for my nomad life.

Ich hatte eine tolle Zeit mit Nomads in Wonderlands. Mit Familienessen, Coworking-Tagen am Pool, Masterminds und vielen Tagesausflügen zu Bergen, Tempeln und Wasserfällen in der Nähe von Chiang Mai gab es eine riesige, vielfältige Auswahl an täglichen Aktivitäten, bei denen man mitmachen konnte. Das Gemeinschaftsgefühl und die Freundschaft sind meiner Meinung nach woanders schwer zu finden und haben das Geld mehr als wert gemacht. Ich habe durch Nomads in Wonderlands Freunde fürs Leben gefunden. Danke an Camille und Alex, dass sie so ein tolles Erlebnis in Chiang Mai geschaffen haben.

I had an amazing time with Nomads in Wonderlands. With family dinners, coworking days by the pool, masterminds and many day trips to mountains, temples and waterfalls close to Chiang Mai there was a huge diverse range of daily activities to get involved in. The sense of community and friendship I think is difficult to find anywhere else and made it well worth the money. I have made friends for life through Nomads in Wonderlands. Thank you to Camille and Alex for creating such an amazing experience in Chiang Mai.

Ich habe im Januar 2026 an dieser Coworkation teilgenommen, und ich halte sie für lebensverändernd für mich. Ich war nie besonders scharf darauf, an Gruppenveranstaltungen / massenhaft organisierten Aktivitäten teilzunehmen, und hielt mich eher für den unabhängigen Typ. Ich glaube, diese Coworkation hat das für immer geändert. Ich hatte so viele schöne Dinge über diese Coworkations gehört, also habe ich mich nach anfänglichem Zögern entschieden, es auszuprobieren. Und ich war von den ersten Momenten an begeistert:

1. Die Leute in der Community: offen, tolerant, begeistert, optimistisch, lustig und authentisch. Kein Rollenspiel; alle waren vom ersten Moment an einbezogen.

2. Aktivitäten: für jeden etwas. Ausgewogen und reichhaltig, nicht überwältigend, ohne irgendeine Agenda oder persönliche Vorliebe durchzudrücken. Ein schönes, volles Programm, von Socializing, Kennenlernen, Spaziergängen und leichten sportlichen Events bis zu kulturellen und Selbstentwicklungs-Aktivitäten.

3. Organisatoren (Camille und Alex): Ich habe selbst viele Retreats und Workshops organisiert und weiß daher, dass das beste Zeichen für eine gut organisierte Aktivität ist, dass man den (falschen) Eindruck bekommt, alles laufe so reibungslos, leicht und „von selbst“, dass es eigentlich gar nicht viel Organisation braucht. Was in Wirklichkeit bedeutet, dass alles so perfekt organisiert und durchdacht war, dass man es nicht bemerkt hat. Und genau so war es hier. Mit einer guten Balance zwischen Struktur/Konsistenz und Spontaneität.

Was kann ich für eine bessere Bewertung abgeben, als zu sagen, dass ich mich sofort für die nächste von Nomads in Wonderland organisierte Coworkation angemeldet habe? Wie gesagt, lebensverändernd für mich. Vielleicht auch für dich.

I joined this coworkation in January 2026, and I consider it life-changing for me. I was never very keen on participation in group events / mass organized activities and considered myself to be a rather independent type. I believe this coworkation changed that for good. I have heard so many nice things about these coworkations, so after initial reluctance, I decided to try it. And I was thrilled from the first moments: 

1. People in the community: open, tolerant, enthusiastic, optimistic, funny, and authentic. No background plays; everybody was included from the first moment.
 
2. Activities: something for everybody. Balanced and rich, not overwhelming, not pushing any agenda or personal preference. Nice and full program, from socializing, getting to know each other, walks, and light sporting events to cultural and self-development activities. 

3. Organizers (Camille and Alex): I have organized many retreats and workshops myself, and so I know that the best sign of well-organized activity is that you get a (false) notion that everything runs so smoothly, easily and „by itself“ that it in fact does not need much organizing. Which in reality means that everything was so perfectly organized and thought-over that you did not notice it. And this was exactly how it was here. With good balance between maintaining structure/consistency and spontaneity. 

What better review can I give than to say that I have applied for the next coworkation organized by Nomads in Wonderland immediately? As I said, life-changing for me. Might be for you, also.

Ich habe zuerst Anfang des Jahres in Antalya bei Nomads in Wonderlands mitgemacht und dann, weil die Erfahrung so gut war, ein paar Monate später beim Bansko-Chapter.

Ich bin jetzt seit 3 Jahren Nomade, habe verschiedene Colivings an verschiedenen Orten erlebt, und auch wenn die Erfahrungen gut waren, fehlte etwas. Persönlich glaube ich, dass man in Colivings den sozialen Aspekt bekommt und trotzdem nette Kontakte knüpfen kann, aber ich glaube nicht, dass er im Kern der Erfahrung steht; oft würde ich sagen, dass es sehr „oberflächliche“ Interaktionen sein können – und das ist okay –, aber bei Nomad in Wonderlands mitzumachen ist eine andere Art von Erfahrung, bei der persönliche und berufliche Entwicklung im Kern stehen, was echte, tiefe menschliche Verbindungen mit Leuten ermöglicht, die man vorher nicht kannte, aber mit denen man schon nach wenigen Interaktionen auf eine Weise in Verbindung tritt, die sich sicher und aufregend anfühlt.

Alex und Camille kümmern sich wirklich um die Erfahrung und planen, dass jede Person die beste Zeit hat, und bereiten jedes Detail vor, sodass du dir auf deiner Nomadenreise nicht noch mehr Planung machen musst. Sie kennen die Orte, an denen die Events stattfinden, gut, haben gute Beziehungen zu Geschäftsinhabern, sodass du schöne Abendessen auswärts, abenteuerliche Wochenendausflüge zum Wandern, Rafting, ATV-Touren und auch schöne soziale Events im Haus genießen kannst.

Kann es gar nicht genug empfehlen für Leute, die bei einem Programm voller Fokuszeit, Wachstumsräumen und gleichzeitig hochgradig sozial mitmachen wollen.

I first joined Nomads in Wonderlands in Antalya ealier this year and then based on how good the experience was I joined the Bansko chapter couple of months after.

I've been nomading for 3 years now, experienced different Colivings in different places and even the experiences have been good there was something lacking. Personally in colivings I think you get the social aspect of it and you can still make nice connections however I dont think it is not at the core of the experience; many time I'd say they can be very "high level" interactions - and that's ok- however joining Nomad in Wonderlands is a different kind of experience where personal and professional development is at the core, which enables real-deep human connections with people you didnt know before but within a few interactions you get to connect in a way that feels safe and exciting.

Alex and Camille really take care of the experience and plan for every person to have the best time, and prepare every detail so you dont have to worry about more planning in your nomad journey. They know well the places where the events happen, have good relationships with business owners, so you can enjoy nice dinners out, adventureous weekends away hiking, doing some rafting, ATV Tours, and also nice social events in-house.

Cannot recommend it enough for people who want to join a program full of focus time, growth-spaces but also highly social.

Ich war sowohl bei der Nomaditerrean in Wonderlands (Antalya) dabei, und obwohl ich ursprünglich nicht vorhatte, nach Bansko zu fahren, habe ich so viele tolle Kontakte geknüpft, dass ich mich in letzter Minute entschieden habe, 2025 als Social Member bei der NiW in Bansko mitzumachen – für mich war es das erste Mal, dass ich an solchen Co-Working-Events teilgenommen habe, und ich hatte bei beiden eine tolle Zeit! Ich fand die Kombination toll, meine normale Arbeitsroutine weiterführen zu können und gleichzeitig viele tolle Leute aus so vielen Ländern zu treffen und bei lustigen Aktivitäten mitzumachen, wie Wandern, Co-Working-Tagen im Spa-Stil, Gratitude-Mapping-Workshops, Morgensport, Weinverkostung, Bootsausflügen, Besuchen antiker Ruinen, Creative-Writing-Workshops, Gruppenessen, Eisbädern usw. – die Organisatoren haben dafür gesorgt, dass es eine Vielfalt an Aktivitäten gab, sodass für jeden etwas dabei war :) Und der Coworking-Space in Antalya war brillant mit Blick über das Mittelmeer!

Camille und Alex haben sich wirklich viel Mühe gegeben, dass die Teilnehmer eine einzigartige Erfahrung haben – mit Fokus sowohl auf persönliche als auch berufliche Entwicklung, und der Zeitplan war anpassbar, sodass wir unsere Erfahrung mitgestalten konnten. Außerdem haben ihr Wissen und ihre Erfahrung an beiden Orten dazu geführt, dass wir Teilnehmer Einblicke in Orte und Aktivitäten bekamen, von denen wir vielleicht nicht wussten, dass es sie gibt!

Ich habe durch NiW eine tolle Community und einen tollen Tribe gefunden und würde es allen sehr empfehlen, die nach einer besonderen Art von Workation suchen, bei der bedeutungsvolle Verbindungen an tollen Orten rund um die Welt im Mittelpunkt stehen!

I joined both the Nomaditerrean in Wonderlands (Antalya) and though I was not originally planning on going to Bansko I made so many great connections that I decided at the last minute to join the NiW in Bansko as a social member in 2025 - for me this was the first time joining any type of co-working events and I had a great time at both! I loved the combination of being able to continue my normal work routine and at the same time meet lots of awesome people from so many places and join fun activities such as hiking, spa-themed co-working days, gratitude mapping workshops, morning fitness, wine tasting, boat trips, visits to ancient ruins, creative writing workshops, group dinners, ice baths etc - the organizers made sure there were a variety of activities so there was something for everyone :) And the co-working space in Antalya was brillant with a view overlooking the Mediterranean!

Camille and Alex really put a lot of effort into ensuring participants have a unique experience -focusing both on personal and professional development and the schedule was adaptable so we could co-create our experience. Also their knowledge and experience in both locations meant that us participants got insights into places and activities we may not have known existed!

I met a great community and tribe through NiW and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a special type of workation focusing on meaningful connections in awesome locations around the world!
