Hi everyone, I’m Stella, a nomad originally from China 🇨🇳 and a remote founder. I started China Digital Nomads because I believe China is one of the most underrated destinations for digital nomads, and I wanted to show what it’s actually like when experienced the local way.

China offers a rare combination that many nomads look for:

• Huge diversity of natural landscapes within short distances
• An incredible variety of food across regions

• And some of the most advanced digital infrastructure in the world

What the retreat looks like

• We stay in one city instead of moving constantly
• Attendees work remotely during the day
• Evenings and weekends are about experiencing everyday China together

Weekdays include activities like:

• Chinese lessons
• Karaoke
• Ping pong or badminton
• Chinese crafts or calligraphy
• Local neighborhood and city explorations

Weekends are for curated excursions to nearby towns, nature, hot springs, scenic rivers, and cultural landmarks.

This retreat, we’ll visit 8 stunning natural landscapes in and around Chongqing, China’s cyberpunk megacity built across rivers and mountains — plus iconic urban experiences like the monorail running through an apartment building and the famous sky plaza on the 22nd floor.

Meals are not included. Most attendees spend $2–3 for breakfast/lunch and $5–8 for dinner.
