Nomads in Wonderlands Angkor Wat was my first time at a nomad/co-living event and it was an excellent experience.
Travelling through South East Asia so Cambodia and Angkor Wat was on the agenda, but a chance encounter made me aware of Nomads in Wonderlands and it sounded like a great opportunityโto visit Angkor Wat with others who knew the area well, and make some friends along the way.
Camille and Bauke are incredibly organised, while also being very laid back and approachable, and this really added to things. The plan itself was pretty fluid and we went with the flow a lot of the time which is a lot of fun.
I thought it was a great group size and the itinerary was perfect. I ate in restaurants I would never have gone to solo and joined activities I had never considered (shout out to the pottery makers)!
Like a lot of things in life, the people make it, and I feel blessed to have spent over a week with such a good gang.
Siem Reap itself is a great placeโeasy to get around and a lot to do, even outside the great history of the temples, so it's a great location for a nomad event such as this.
Now that I've been introduced to the nomad world I look forward to attending more events and meeting the Nomads in Wonderlands again!
