Fiz a edição de Lima da Noma em março de 2025 e a de Buenos Aires em abril de 2024. As duas foram EXCELENTES! e superaram as expectativas. O que a Noma decifrou foi (1) liberar você para fazer seu trabalho sem interrupção e, ao mesmo tempo, (2) dar um jeito de fazer as melhores coisas da cidade/região *com gente incrível.* Eu me concentrava no trabalho sabendo que, dia sim, dia não, estaria vendo gente, me divertindo e indo a um ótimo restaurante, bar, balada, passeio, experiência cultural etc. Pelo que ouvi sobre outras abordagens de nômades digitais, eu ficaria com receio de ficar sozinho(a) por tempo demais. Com a Noma, você pode ficar sozinho(a) o quanto quiser, mas tem um grupo de amigos embutido para fazer coisas divertidas. A experiência local é muito melhorada pelos community managers locais que eles contratam. Os dois das minhas viagens (Vani em BA e Angel em Lima) foram tipo os melhores de todos: muito diferentes um do outro, mas ambos se importavam muito com a experiência e tinham orgulho das suas cidades e países. Não vejo como não fazer isso pelo menos uma vez por ano.

I did Noma's Lima edition in March 2025 and the Buenos Aires edition in April 2024. Both were EXCELLENT! and exceeded expectations. What Noma has cracked the code on is (1) freeing you to do your work without interruption while also then (2) giving you a way to do the best things in town/region *with awesome people.* I'd put my head down to work, knowing that every other day/night I'd be seeing people, having fun, and going to a great restaurant, bar, dancing, tour, cultural experience, etc. From what I've heard of other digital nomad approaches, I would worry about being alone for too long. With Noma, you can be alone as much as you like but you have a built-in friend group to do fun stuff with. The local experience is greatly enhanced by the local community managers they hire. Both ones on my trips (Vani in BA and Angel in Lima) were kinda the greatest -- very different from each other but both cared a lot about the experience and were proud of their home cities and countries. I don't see how I can not do this at least once a year.
