spent two weeks at this coliving hoping for meaningful connection
j’ai passé deux semaines dans ce coliving en espérant des liens significatifs. Malheureusement, ça ne me correspondait pas.
La ville elle-même était sans intérêt et mal entretenue, avec des déchets difficiles à ignorer. La plage était le seul vrai point positif, même si elle aurait aussi eu besoin d’un bon nettoyage.
Le groupe avait une forte ambiance de fête, plus proche d’un spring break d’étudiants que d’une communauté réfléchie. Les rassemblements étaient bruyants et axés sur l’alcool, avec peu d’égard pour les voisins ou les gens autour. Plus d’une fois, j’ai eu honte d’être associé(e) au groupe. Si vous voulez des conversations qui vont au-delà de la surface, ce n’était pas l’environnement pour ça.
La communication avec l’hôte, Fe, était un point faible. Les questions étaient lentes à obtenir une réponse, et certains problèmes soulevés n’ont soit pas été traités, soit été traités sur la défensive.
Qui pourrait aimer : les voyageurs plus jeunes qui veulent un séjour animé, social et centré sur l’alcool. Si vous préférez un public plus calme et plus mûr et des liens plus profonds, je chercherais ailleurs.

The town itself was uninspiring and not well kept, with litter that was hard to ignore. The beach was the one real bright spot, though it also needed a good cleaning.
The group had a strong party atmosphere, closer to a college spring break than a thoughtful community. Gatherings were loud and heavy on the drinking, with little regard for neighbors or people around. More than once I felt embarrassed to be associated with the group. If you want conversations that go beyond the surface, this was not the environment for it.
Communication with the host, Fe, was a weak point. Questions were slow to get answered, and some issues that came up were either not addressed or were addressed defensively.
Who might enjoy it: younger travelers who want a lively, social, drinking centered stay. If you prefer a quieter, more mature crowd and deeper connections, I would look elsewhere.
