pasamos 30 días viajando por colombia con wifi artists y fue exactamente lo que necesitábamos después de la pandemia. llevábamos dos años aislados, sin interacción humana real, así que el viaje con wifi artists fue como una bocanada de aire fresco!

alojamiento:
estuvimos muy contentos con nuestro alojamiento. vivimos en un apartamento muy acogedor, moderno y bien equipado que tenía de todo para nuestra estancia de 30 días. solo tuvimos que compartir el apartamento con otras dos personas, muy tranquilas y con ideas afines. el edificio además tenía un guardia de seguridad las 24 horas, los 7 días de la semana, lo que nos dio total tranquilidad. ¿mencionamos ya la ubicación? estaba en el poblado, medellín. el poblado es el nuevo centro moderno de medellín, a poca distancia a pie de tiendas, bares, restaurantes, cafés y, sobre todo, espacios de coworking.

transporte:
los traslados al aeropuerto estaban incluidos en nuestro paquete. nos recibió en el aeropuerto leslie, la líder del equipo del grupo. nuestro conductor carlos fue súper amable y su jeep era muy cómodo y espacioso, con mucho sitio para el equipaje.

tarjeta sim local:
wifi artists nos proporcionó una tarjeta sim local, así que siempre teníamos datos en la calle. súper útil para pedir uber y moverse.

espacio de coworking:
nuestro espacio de coworking, selina, estaba a solo 10 minutos a pie de nuestro apartamento. el espacio era muy moderno, peculiar y vibrante. había escritorios de sobra para todos y, si queríamos un lugar tranquilo, wifi artists tenía salas reservadas. hay algo para el estilo de trabajo de cada persona. además, siempre había algo divertido en selina: clases de salsa, clases de español, clases de meditación, miércoles de gofres, etc.

bebidas de bienvenida y comida:
esto lo proporcionó wifi artists, lo cual fue un bonito detalle. durante nuestra cena de bienvenida conocimos al resto de participantes y supimos más sobre lo que estaba por venir.

participantes:
éramos unas 14 personas en nuestro programa de colombia. todo el mundo era muy sencillo, simpático y con pasión por viajar. aunque veníamos de países distintos y teníamos trabajos diferentes, compartíamos un objetivo común: poder trabajar y viajar.
todos teníamos nuestros propios trabajos y proyectos remotos. la mayoría éramos bastante flexibles con el trabajo, lo que significaba que, si queríamos, podíamos comer o cenar rápido juntos o incluso irnos de escapada de fin de semana largo! hubo muchas actividades en grupo que crearon conexiones duraderas.

lo que más nos gustó de este programa:
lo que más nos gustó de nuestro tiempo con wifi artists es la posibilidad de conocer gente nueva, hacer nuevos amigos, crear amistades duraderas, intercambiar experiencias de viaje y aprender unos de otros. ya hemos hecho planes para quedar con algunos miembros del programa en el futuro. eso es verdaderamente inspirador.

organizadores:
hova (el ceo de wifi artists), simone (responsable de marketing) y leslie (líder del equipo del grupo) siempre se aseguraron de que tuviéramos muchas actividades por las tardes y los fines de semana. fue perfecto para nosotros porque, cuando viajamos, siempre tenemos que organizarlo todo nosotros mismos, pero con wifi artists todo está hecho, solo tienes que presentarte! por supuesto, nuestras aportaciones también fueron bienvenidas y estuvo bien saber que también podíamos sugerir nuestras propias ideas para distintas actividades y escapadas.

resumen:
si pudiéramos repetir este viaje, lo haríamos. fue una experiencia que nunca olvidaremos. queremos dar las gracias al equipo de wifi artists por reunir a todos y crear una comunidad tan encantadora. ha reavivado nuestra pasión por viajar después de un momento muy difícil de nuestras vidas y nos ha permitido volver a ver la belleza del mundo.

We spent 30 days travelling around colombia with wifi artists and it was exactly what we needed after the pandemic. we’ve been isolated for the past two years with no real human interaction so the trip with wifi artists was just like a breath of fresh air!

accommodation:
we were really happy with our accommodation. we lived in a very cozy, modern and well equipped apartment that had everything for our 30 day stay. we only had to share our apartment with two other people, who were very chilled and likeminded. the building also had a security guard on duty 24/7, which gave us complete peace of mind. did we also mention the location of our place? it was in el poblado, medellin. poblado is the new modern downtown of medellin which is within walking distance of shops, bars, restaurants, cafes and most importantly co-working spaces.

transportation:
our airport transfers were included in our package. we were greeted at the airport by leslie who was the group team leader. our driver carlos was super friendly and his jeep was very comfortable and spacious, plenty of space for our luggage.

local sim card:
wifi artists provided us with a local sim card, so we always had data when we were on the go. super useful for booking uber rides and getting around.

co-working space:
our co-working space selina was just a 10 min walk from our apartment. the space itself was very modern, quirky and vibrant. there were plenty of desks for us all and if we wanted a quiet space - wifi artists had rooms reserved. there is something for everyone’s individual working style there. moreover, there was always something fun going at selina: salsa lessons, spanish lessons, meditation classes, waffle wednesdays etc.

welcome drinks & food:
this was provided by wifi artists, which was a nice gesture. during our welcome dinner, we got to meet the other participants and learn more about what’s to come.

participants:
there was about 14 people in our colombia program. everyone was so down to earth, friendly and had a passion for travel. even though we were all from different countries and we all had different jobs there was common goal that we shared and that was being able work and travel.
we all had our own remote jobs and projects going on. most of us were quite flexible with our work, which meant that if we wanted to, we could grab quick lunches / dinners together or even go on an extended weekend trips away! there were many group activities which created long lasting connections.

what we loved about this program the most:
what we really liked about our time with wifi artists is the ability to meet new people, make new friends, create long lasting friendships, exchange our travel experiences and learn from one another. we have already made plans to meet with some members of the programme in the future. that is truly inspiring.

organisers:
hova (the ceo of wifi artists), simone (marketing manager) & leslie (group team leader) always ensured that we had plenty of activities in the evenings and during the weekends. it was perfect for us because when we travel, we always have to organise everything ourselves but with wifi artists - everything is done for you, all you have to do is show up! of course our input was also appreciated and it was nice to know that we could also suggest our own ideas for different activities and trips away.

summary:
if we could do this trip all over again - we would. this was an experience that we will never forget. we want to thank to wifi artists team for bringing everyone together and creating such a lovely community. it has reignited our passion for travel after a very difficult time in our lives and allowed us to see the beauty of the world again.
